I have had these for a while now and without a doubt are my most favorite Craftsman tool. Ratcheting, slightly offset box end as well the reversible switch are terrific features. I like the polished chrome look as well. I would not necessarily use them on high torque applications, though.
I have used the metric set for the past several years and absolutely love them. I went to purchase the SAE set and upon my arrival, I noticed these are now made in China. The ratcheting sounds hollow, the open end is much larger as well as the clearance on the box end is at least 30% larger on the Chinese one. The USA ones are superb. None of the 8pc sets the store had were made in the USA. Fortunately, the open stock replacements were still available in USA made quality and the manager was willing to swap them out of the package for me. I love mine but it is a shame that Craftsman products are being made in China. I only buy USA when possible and this is upsetting to see my favorite brand "outsourced". I would not have bought them if I was unable to swap them out for the USA made wrenches.

I bought this set as a replacement to one that I had lost. I use these wrenches everyday at my job as a maintenance technician. I love to use these ratcheting wrenches because it makes my job easier and quicker. My only complaint is that since the time I bought my first set and this recent set, the style has changed slightly. The open end has a broader profile than the old ones so it does not fit into tight spots like my old set did. I am not sure why they changed the style but it usually almost always has to do with the manufacture saving money. This would be my guess here. Unfortunately they made an excellent set of wrenches into JUST a very nice set of wrenches. I hope this trend does not continue.

I guess when you make them with poor quality materials they have to be built as big as a club to have any strength. I returned both sets. I'll buy the quality sets from a REAL tool supplier.

I bought this set or my husband, he loves it. the best thing about sears craftsman tools as there is a life time warranty on them. With my husband being a service tec. he uses his tools all the time there is bound something to happen to them so i love to have a life time warranty on them.

I love these wrenches I use them all of the time!!!!!!! The have a great swing degree and come in very handy in tight spaces. The only bad thing I would have to say is that they are a little bit thick around the ratcheting side so it makes them un usable on low clearance bolts
