For starters everyone should know that this set is made in China, NOT the USA however, please read my whole review! I know many people that buy Craftsman tools simply because they are known for being Made in the USA but that is not always the case anymore as a lot of Craftsman tools are made in China or Taiwan anymore!
This is a really great set of wrenches. I bought a set of Craftsman non-reversible ratcheting wrenches for a really great price of $20 during a Black Friday special last year. For the price, I couldn't go wrong but over time I found it to be a bit of a pain to constantly find myself putting the wrench on facing the wrong way to tighten or loosen a bolt which may seem minor but after time you will wish you had the reversible option. This set was regularly priced at $99.99 but during the recent online sale it was showing them marked down $84.99. Imagine my surprise when i added them to my cart only to see that there was additional savings which brought the price down to $49.99!!! I then added an online cupon code (google them) and also got an additional $5 off bringing the price down to $44.99 which is less than half the price this set retails for and a really great deal IMO.
Earlier I mentioned how this set was made in China which i feel the need to express for those who are wondering if the quality is as good as the wrenches made in the USA. This set does not come with an 11mm size wrench. I use that particular size for working on my ATV frequently so i bought the single 11mm wrench at my local Sears. I quickly noticed that the single wrench was indeed "Made in the USA" so i began to compare the two. The only difference between the two is the stamp that reads USA! The ratcheting mechanism and size is identicle between the two. In all honesty, the finish is actually a bit better on the set made in China as the one made in the USA has a bit of a slightly rough cast appearance to it where as the china set looks like it was polished.
Buy this set! You will be more than pleased with them!!!

The new chinese made wrenches are garbage. The heads are huge. The open end opens up. The ratchet end is also huge and the ratchet is weak. These went from an awesome wrench at an awesome price to garbage at the same price. Save some money and get the GearWrench, it is the same thing.
Very disappointed that so many Craftsman wrenches and sockets are no longer made in the USA. The photos online show the USA engraving in the tool, but the set I received didn't have this engraving and was Made In China. I hope this is not a permanent solution for Sears. I am a loyal Craftsman customer, have been for years, but I refuse to support their non USA made hand tools. If they offered the Craftsman Professional line in stores, I would gladly pay more for the USA branding. I did not use these wrenches, I returned them to the store.
I bought this set as a replacement to one that I had lost. I use these wrenches everyday at my job as a maintenance technician. I love to use these ratcheting wrenches because it makes my job easier and quicker. My only complaint is that since the time I bought my first set and this recent set, the style has changed slightly. The open end has a broader profile than the old ones so it does not fit into tight spots like my old set did. I am not sure why they changed the style but it usually almost always has to do with the manufacture saving money. This would be my guess here. Unfortunately they made an excellent set of wrenches into JUST a very nice set of wrenches. I hope this trend does not continue.

I like the option of using the quick action of a ratchet while using an open or closed end wrench and this wrench set satisfies that need.
