I suspect I will never use more than one third of the different types of bits and sockets in this set. But as I don't know which third I will use, having a complete, all-in-one-organized-place set like this is better than buying bits one at a time and keeping them in a baby food jar. There are duplicates, even triplets of the most often used bits like #2 Phillips so you won't need to go to the store for replacements when one wears out. The case is nicely organized and holds all bits in place. These are screwdriver bits - not impact bits. These are for use with electric drill drivers and manual screwdrivers. While you can use them in an impact driver, expect them to wear out more quickly than bits described as "impact ready".
This is an extremely useful and complete set of bits: It will be a rare bit this set does not have. In my life I expect to use maybe one-third of the different bits in this set. But which third? That is the beauty of this set: Whichever type of bit you need, it will be there. No more trips to the store to get a bit for that weird screw: It's already in the set. Aside from the vast range of bits, what makes this set so useful is the superb organization of the rugged case. Finding the correct bit is easy. No more rummaging around in a Gerber Baby Food jar for the one bit you thought you had only to find you don't have it. The case is compact and every bit stays in place. The case, by itself, is worth the price of this very affordable bit set. Most of the set's bits sizes and types come in pairs so if one wears out or a tip breaks, you have a spare. There are three each of the most popularly used bits and those with head designs that tend to strips out (E.g.: #2 Phillips and slotted #6, #8 and #10). If you are careful to use the correct sized bit in a quality driver (a driver with low tension clutch settings, a slow gear and precise variable speed trigger control) it will be a long time before you need to buy individual replacements for all but the Phillips (You might as well buy an extra dozen "impact ready" #2 Phillips bits if you are a professional or a busy DIYer). I use this set's Phillips and slotted bits in my swap-bit hand screwdrivers and with my low and high torque drill/drivers. (I have another set of "impact ready" tougher steel Phillips and slotted bits for my impact driver.) You should be able to use the kits' Torx bits, hex bits and, of course, the nutsetters/socket wrenches with any kind of driver.
This bit set has a nice assortment of bits and not too overloaded with multiples or unnecessary items. The bits are not that strong and seem to strip very easily. This is the second Craftsman bit set I have purchased recently that strips so easily.

bought this to go with my husband's drill driver as a christmas gift. He loves them. Said they don't strip out like cheap brand bits. He is a firm believer in craftsman products now.
