Maintain a Beautiful Lawn with the Craftsman Soft Bagger 9 Bushel 3 Bin
The Craftsman 3 bin soft bagger for lawn tractor with a 46 inch deck attaches easily and quickly and efficiently collect grass clippings and leaves. Plus, unlike a typical bag system, you won't need to deal with individual bags – simply fill the bins up with clippings, lift, dump and refill. This bagger completely eliminates the need for manual raking. If clippings aren't collected directly after mowing, they can build up over time, compress and prevent grass roots from receiving the right amounts of water, oxygen and nutrients.
Easy-to-empty Craftsman soft bagger 9 bushel 3 bin collects up to a massive 9 bushels of clippings for less frequent dumping. Boasting a 50% larger capacity than a standard 2-bin bagger, this 3-bin bagger offers less frequent dumping, as well as less frequent stopping so you can get the job done in half the time. The top of the bag is designed for improved airflow, which results in fuller bags. Easy-glide design with built-in handles provides no-hassle clipping disposal.

Assembly was very easy, as was the attachment to the tractor. Capacity far exceeded my expectations, it holds a lot of grass clippings. I had no problem with the fit of the grass chute, no leakage at all. My problems have been with the plastic cover. It cracked with the first use. I repaired the crack with some sheet metal and pop rivets. By the end of the summer the cover was basically in two pieces. I'm going to try to put it back together with more sheet metal and rivets. I would think that for the price, which I now believe is much more than it's worth, the plastic cover could be beefed up a little. Ok, beefed up a lot. I wouldn't buy another of these.

The instructions were a little vague and confusing. The bolts that were furnished caused me to strip one bolt hole. Should tell owner not to over tighten the bolts. I also had two black plastic pieces (I believe they might be clips of some sort) left over that weren't shown on the instruction sheets. Still not sure if, or where, they go on the bagger attachment. There was no instructions as to how the "bag full" indicator was supposed to function either. I liked how the bagger functioned, and the simplicity of attaching and it made the mowing much easier. It installed very easily. It fills up the bag farthest from the shute first, then the middle bag, then the one under the opening. The spinning dial on my shute doesn't spin until two of the bags are full. This really doesn't matter to me because I just reach back with my right hand and tap the bag under the shute to see if it's full anyhow. I love that I can mow my yard any direction now and not worry which way my shute is pointed. My yard looks so much nicer now. My only wish is that you could still leave it attached while using the deck washer. That is the only hassle I've had (attaching and unattaching to wash under the mowing deck) but that is minor and isn't really related to the functionality of the bagger itself. I'm glad I got it and wish now that I hadn't waited 10 years before doing so.

Tried to get it with no success in Myrtle Beach, Got it in no time in Winston Salem. Installed in minutes. With 3 bins they are not as heavy. Easy to unload or remove for transport.
The item was for a new Craftsman riding mower I bought at the same time. This was a good deal at that time. I is a good deal for the price and will add value to the riding mower if I decide to upgrade at a later date.
I took this item out-of-the-box it had scratches all over it but it works really great. wish it would look little better when I took it of box. I would definitely buy again if I had to.
Works great, I don't have the dust problem that others have mentioned with this unit. The fit was good right out of the box, Just hate emptying it now..haha I'm glad I purchased the 3 bagger rather than the 2.
I bought the 3 bag soft catcher rather than the 2 bag hard plastic catcher so that I can reach behind me while mowing and feel if the bags are full. This is an absolute time saver. Even mowing my 1/2 acre lot, I usually only have to stop twice to empty these bags into my mulch pile. Excellent addition to your mower if you need to have a catcher.
My yard is about 3/4 acre with around 15 big oak trees. The yards around me are similar. I kept putting off buying a bagger for my YT4000. This year I finally broke down and bought one. Honestly, the 3-bin bagger turned a weekends worth of work with a backpack blower into less than 3 hours! I couldn't be happier!
