THIS IS A GREAT LEVEL FROM CRAFTSMAN, IT IS SMALL AND FITS NICELY IN MY WORK POUCH. THE MAGNETIC FEATURE WORKS WELL WITH METAL STUDS, AND ELECTRICAL LOAD CENTERS. GREAT VALUE, AND ITS MADE IN THE USA, CAN'T BE BEAT.

I got this Craftsman torpedo level to use during woodworking when I need to level shelves or something that is set inside other boards. A step up from this model would be a magnetic torpedo level but for me it wasn't necessary. The edges of this level are perfectly straight with tapered ends. I can't attest to the durability of the level yet but I have dropped it several times and it still works just fine. The majority of this level is made of plastic which I don't really care for, but it does do what it was designed to do: check levels. Overall it is good torpedo level.

this is my very first level and i use it all the time it fits just great in my toolbelt and if i can use it so can you , if you do not have this level you should buy it it only cost a few dollars and you will not be sorry if you need to use a level in a small place this is the right one to have so please go out and buy it i have learned from the best ,my dad.........steve jr

This torpedo level is a great tool that everyone should have at home. It is highly accurate and can be used to level such things as pictures, railings, and such. I just recently built a deck and installed metal spindles on my railings. I used this level to make sure these spindles were straight, up and down. The magnets on the side worked especially well during this job. My favorite feature though was the fact that I could keep it in my tool pouch, so it was always with me! Great inexpensive present for Christmas, Fathers Day, or birthday!

Longer levels are nice, potentially give you more accurate indication of level. Digital levels are super easy to use providing more information than the standard level. But the larger levels and the high tech levels may be too big for many tool boxes and uses. I frequently had to lug a container of tools out to aircraft to perform assigned work. That containter was usually a cloth bag, not much extra room. Still, I needed a level as part of my basic kit. This standard nine inch torpedo level was always in my bag. And surprisingly accurate if I did my work on the setup properly. Not big, not fancy, small enough to always have on hand. An effective tool. "Sacramento" Bruce Conklin

I've had this Craftsman torpedo level for almost 10 years and have abused it at every task. Heck, I don't know if I'd ever break it, just works as expected Every Time. The vials are accurate and the unit is well made...just hard to ask for more performance than you get here. Considering the current low asking price and the great warranty, why buy any other brand...Great Deal!

This handy 9" level is perfect for the small jobs. I has a handy little magnet on one side also to attach it to your tool box. It is very well built and you cant beat the warranty.

This torpedo level is fantastic! It is great for leveling cabinet shelves or other areas that are confined where you cannot fit a standard size level. It is the right price and every DIY should have one in their collection.
