These wrenches have proven themselves time and time again. They are a product of great quality at an affordable price. I have used Craftsman wrenches for years and will stand by their products. If a tool gets broken, they will replace it free of charge. That in its self has me sold

While I don't work on many vehicles with metric fasteners, I sometimes find them on newer cars and for that I needed a set of wrenches and these six point wrernches fit perfectly, just what I would expect from a US made tool! Way to go Craftsman!

What a perfect companion set for a 15 year old who is getting his first set of tools! We got him the 200 piece set which only came with six wrenches and that just ain't enough! This set is the six point set since the car he has (1976 Firebird) has only a few places where a 12 point would be needed and I have plenty of those he can use (all Craftsman, of course!).

Purchased this on clearance for $20 and was an incredible value! I've never had an issue with a Craftsman tool EVER and I don't foresee that I ever will. I've bought "cheapies" made from China, Korea, India, etc. and they've all broken due to high torque stress and ended up costing me more in the long run. Don't make the same mistake: buy quality tools and SAVE $$. "You get what you pay for". End of story.

I prefer 6pt wrenches to 12pt wrenches because of their reduced likelihood to strip a bolt head. If you really need the reduced swing of a 12pt, you're better off with a socket set anyway. (12pt wrenches need at least 30 degress of rotation while socket sets only need 10 degrees of rotation.) If you need to break a bolt free, these are probably your best bet (short of a breaker bar which is a somewhat limited use tool.) These wrenches are still made in the USA as of Dec 2010. The pictures don't show it, but the packaging states that they are made domestically, and each wrench is also forged likewise. If your budget allows, the Craftsman 8 pc. Metric Reversible Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set (part # 42405) is even nicer. I recently upgraded to those, and strongly recommend them. Those are also still made in the USA. Their only downside is that they cost substantially more than this set. If it matters to you, the regular, non-reversible ratcheting wrenches are made in China, and do not have the 15 degree offset at the box end.
