Mine only worked for 3 months, as stated "Reliable diaphragm design replaces ball valve " as far as I know water timers are starting to use ball valves because they ARE more reliable than the diaphragm type

This timer worked great for 3 months. Had FULL water pressure and was flawless during that time period. However, now when it comes on the outlet water flow is roughly half. No matter what I try I can't get it to go back to full flow. Somehow the valve must not be opening all the way. I tried new batteries but this did not fix the problem. Dissapointed in this product. Can't any company make a sprinkler timer that lasts and lasts and works like it should. All of the timers I have read about get very mixed reviews.

Worked for about a year then stopped working. Upon further inspection, the so called water tight housing wasn't so water tight. The channel that goes through the unit that attaches to the inner water stop mechanism cracked and the inside of the device flooded with water essentially shorting out the electrical components. Not happy. This was a father's day gift too. Very disappointed.

Have been using this for about 20 days now without any problems. Turns on and off at the preset time. No obvious drop in pressure. Very easy to operate and the "ON" feature is nice if you want to manually run the sprinklers for a while.

Bought two of these for the lawn to save me the trouble and headaches of watering the lawn everyday. In-store pickup was easy; product was available within 15 minutes of placing the order. The timer function works great. The timer settings are very limited (exactly as stated in the description). For example, you can set it to water for 15 or 30 minutes at 6 AM daily, or 6 AM and 6 PM daily, but not 6 PM only. Easy workaround (if you so wish) is to set the clock 12-hours off. I have not seen any drop in pressure that others have reported. Of course, because of the nozzle of my water faucet, the little mesh filter in the water timer would not let the device be fitted on the faucet. Another easy workaround - flip the little mesh filter.
Good product overall, works as advertised. Docking a star coz Sears dropped the price 3 days after I bought it.

I bought two of these and used them for a couple years with great results. Unfortunately I left them out in freezing cold this winter and they were ruined. No other similar product is as easy to program and use as this design. It literally couldn't be any easier. Set te clock once and forget it. Change your watering preferences by simply rotating the large dial. No need to enter a complicated programming sequence like the others. I'm so glad to see Sears has these. I'm going to a local store and picking up two today.

Product functions as advertised - other than cutting your water pressure severely. I bought two to be able to schedule watering with sprinklers at the end of a hose and some soaker hoses. The sprinklers barely run, and the last soaker hose (3 chained together) does not get any water. Without the units everything works fine.

Bought 2 of these units a few years ago and they are great! Have tried other brands in the past, but they were too complex, using weird codes and complicated programing. These units, by contrast, are VERY easy to use. Just set the time, then dial in how often to water, (once a day.....twice a day....every other day.....) and for how long (15 minutes.....30 minutes.....60 minutes). We set ours to come on at 6am and 6pm every day. Very user friendly. I love it !
