this is a pad for those of us not 20 years old any more. It works great for the guy that doesn't have a lift and has to work on the ground or in their garage. Just place the mat on the ground or on some cardboard and it helps with kneeling. I also used it when I sat on my tire and my bottom hurt. It makes a good seat cushion.

Once in a while I'll need to get down on one knee to look for something or to do a pretty quick task and my poor old knees ain't what they used to be! This sure helps in those times!

I read the other 7 reviews that said this was a great product.... I am completely disappointed. After two uses the foam (that was initially comfortable under my knees/butt while in the garage) is now all crushed down to about 1/4 of it's original thickness-which wasn't that thick to begin with. It hasn't 'sprung' back after a week of not using it. Into the garbage - cardboard would have held up better. Although it is priced cheap, you might as well throw your money away.

I purchased this pad to use working on cars and other stuff in the garage. The price was cheap enough to just buy it and try it (only like $6.99 I think). Would make a great gift for a mechanic (even the occasional garage tinkerer), garden work and even in the house. Knee pads that strap on sometimes pop off on me or get uncomfortable over time so I do not always like using them. Besides this is WAY cheaper than a QUALITY set of kneepads! It could use about a 1/2" more padding to make sure it doesnt flatten out over time but I have only used it about 10-15 so far so cannot talk about longevity yet. It is enough padding to keep your knees protected and from getting sore. You can hang it on a tool cart or wall hanger from the sewn on handle it has on one end. It is black on the bottom and red on top with Craftmen writting on it. I just wouldnt want to get oil on it etc, because it being cloth material it might soak it up. I dont remember what the padding is made of but hopefully some sort of neoprene or rubber type meterial that will not asorb any liquids so you can clean it if you did get oil or greese on it and only worry about the outside needing to dry. For my use it will not ever get cleaned unless it got oil etc. all over it. Overall I do not regret buying it and would buy again after trying it!

I was rebuilding my snowblower from the ground up for many days in the cold garage and I had been using some folded cardboard to offer my knees support. Yet towards the end of the assembly I noticed my knees were not feeling that great. I went down to fold the cardboard some more for added cushion and realized it had been smooshed to paper thickness over all the time I had been working on it. I found this pad at Sears and decided to give it a try, although when I first picked it up I felt like I should probably get two of them to use together, because it seemed so thin that I figured my knees would probably smoosh through it and back into contact with the concrete. Yet that was not the case, I weigh a bit over 150 lbs. and I sink about halfway into the cushion. To me it actually feels like I am standing, so there is no stress placed on my knees that I can feel. I'm amazed!

For the money, the Craftsman 9" x 20" Kneeling pad is hard to beat. It's rugged and durable, but provides plenty of cushion when I'm kneeling to perform mechanical repairs, landscape work or constructing woodworking projects. It's very lightweight and portable, so it is easy to drag or carry around with the built in handle while performing task. I find it almost as easy to use as my jelled knee pads (for attic work on rafters, etc.), but without the discomfort while walking around. I give it only 4 stars due to the material being a little hard to clean, however it makes up for this in functionality and practically and is a nice ergonomic addition to my homeowner jobs!

This is the second Craftsman Kneeling Pad I have purchased in the last couple of years, and I will say that it is perfect for any job, whether it's in the garage, the shop, in the yard or in the house. The outer layer is a tough, nylon canvas which is very durable. There is no doubt in my mind that this cushion will last for a very long time. I threw out my old one because I used it when tiling my floors in my house! It was covererd in grout and mortar and it looked terrible. However, it saved my knees and I was too cheap to buy kneepads! I thoroughly recommend this pad!

I've worked on my knees for around 30 years. My knees were shot, and always in pain. I bought one of these about 3 or 4 years ago for the first time. Using it faithfully at work, my knees are much better. So hat's off to Sears for that. What I don't like is that the padding packs down pretty quick, and the cover is not easy to clean. I go through about 1 per year. I use it everyday, and have not had one tear yet. I would gladly pay 2 or 3 times as much as this one costs if I could find one that had more resilient padding. That said, at 8 bucks it's a good deal.
