This has to be the best clamping system for making boxes or other square materials. It's so good I bought 2! Highly recommend!

works great with ease. I glue up triangular boxes and it works great for those two.

I was saving this tool for a woodworking project, so I had it for a while. It broke in several places while using it for the first time. The front retaining clip jammed, then broke in half, then the dowel pin holding the strap on the right hand side fell out. The band came off along with the release level right before I was able to screw the corners of a drawer together. I replaced the clip with a new one, and tried it again, but the dowel pin fell out once more before I could use it. I got frustrated, and decided to put it back into my drawer. My old corner clamp is simple to use, but only does one corner at a time. I was able to complete the project with my old clamp, but expected to use this tool since it should do all four corners at the same time. I don't know if the new models of this tool are better quality or the same, but I would avoid it to be on the safe side.

I bought this because my kids and I were working on a project and I needed something simple that we could all use. Wow does this work well! Setup a four sided object that needs to be glued squarely together, apply your glue, slip this on, and tighten. Voila! All you have to do is wait for the glue to dry.

Overall, the clamp holds pretty well. It is easy to adjust and tighten. The strap is a little stretchy, however.

I purchased the item to assemble a shelf for my garage which was 3x3 ft. The box said that the strap was 13 feet long and quickly doing the math, figured that it would work perfectly for the job. I did inspect the item before buying it and found it to be mostly plastic. I did not think that it would matter with what I was trying to accomplish and for only 20 dollars, I figured I would try it. During dry fitting, I rememoved the strap from its box to practice with it and figure out how I wanted to use it. This is when I found that the strap was about a foot to short. After several self checks to ensure that I did not make a mistake in the math, I measured the strap and found it to be 11 ft 6 in long. I returned the item to the store (which the sales associate was also not very helpful...but different gripe on this matter.) Unfortunately, this finally opened my eyes to the lowering quality levels/standards that craftsman has been sneaking in under my nose and am very disappointed in the fact that I now have to check their products just as close as the cheap China knock offs. I do not know if Kmart has anything to do with it...but Craftsman...Bringing it weak.
