When it's time to get off the tired knees and straighten the aching back (but the job isn't finished), my mini adjustable mechanic bar seat is a welcome relief! Providing support for my derriere and work tools, I can maneuver around easily on the 5 wheels and set the seat height just where I need to get the work finished.
Actually, I've quickly figured out that starting my task using the stool for support, instead of kneeling all the time, helps prevent my back and knee discomfort from setting in...Built in Ergonomics! It is light enough to be very portable, but solid enough to support my medium frame. The range of hydraulic seat adjustment is excellent and the round tool tray keeps my smaller hand tools all together...Nice addition to my workshop efficiency (and Back & Knee Health)!

Seats like these are a staple in any garage, a quick deploy-able seat for long periods of work at awkward locations where a normal chair or bench won't do. 5 Castering wheels let this move in most any direction, and a pneumatic adjustment for seat height. The tube is of good construction and has a weight limit of 300lbs, perfect for most mechanics, and an ample lip for parts and tool storage underneath. Good construction overall, and a must but when on sale! It won't be the most comfortable stool in the shop, but very handy in a pinch.

I bought this two years ago and it was great for getting in close to my car and motorcycle . At 6'2" tall I got tired of stooping to work on them both. Bought this stool and I was happy enough with the seat except it came with a very poorly painted finish which began rusting and bubbling up from underneath the paint within about 2 months. Then like everyone else the hydraulic piston gave out after the second year. Bought it on sale threw it away for free. Not again until they redesign it to be of better construction.

My husband turned 66 this March and trying to figure out what to buy him! Hmmm, a mechanic's seat, perfect for detailing our vehicles, as it does get a little bit tougher to bend with age! Easy to assemble, rolls easily, shelf for wheel cleaner or wax....he was happy !!!!!
