The Craftsman adjustable mechanic seat is more stable and comfortable than lesser models. The attractive seat cushion has easy height adjustments and the wheels rolls smoothly. It has handy onboard tool trays for storing small parts, screws or tools but unfortunately they have a tendancy to pop out during use. Quality design and materials make this mechanics seat a favorite in my garage.

I use the #51164 stool at work, this one at home, but I'm switching places because the #51828 has bigger wheels, better suited for the cracks and divots in the factory floor. Tray sections easily kick out, yeah, so either leave 'em out or suppliment the tiny magnet- get some 2" magnetic ribbon (used for making "refrigerator magnets") and glue it to the plastic tray. (I used Shoe Goo)

This seat is wide enough, very comfortable, and is easily adjustable. The tool trays are very handy for tools and parts. They come out with ease and help when you are working on a project. The wheels are sturdy and it rolls around very smoothly.

Positive - I was looking for a rugged and sturdy seat and casters, this satisfied my criteria so I do recommend it - locking casters a plus Negative - seat and trays not fixed so may become dislodged I do not see anyting "adjustable" about it.

Would of gave this all 5 stars, but the padding, is poor, other wise best built roller I've ever owned, extremely easy to assemble. Thought, the bottom would be hollow nope.. solid steel under the trays, plus the trays are HD plastic, well worth the buy when on sale.

Actually got this unit for $17.97 so that makes it a fantastic deal. Love the Slickdeals website for getting Craftsman stuff for 50% off or better. Got 3 more at the same price for Christmas presents. Plastic trays in the base can pop out (annoying). Easy to fix with some packing tape rolled to make it double side sticky (or some small pieces of Velcro).

I received this as a birthday gift (that I asked for). My use of it is in detailing the lower half of both our vehicles. Instead of getting on my knees on a "garden mat", I can now be comfortable sitting and rolling around the vehicles to detail the bottom parts, wheels etc. Well built and adjustable height plus the removeable trays make this stool perfect for my uses. I highly recommend it!
