I've had this brake bleeder tool for about 2 years. I've had better luck using it for other jobs than brake bleeding. It works well to suck fluid out of transcoolers, power steering coolers. I've also used it to pull gear oil out of a rear diff without having to pull the diff cover off.
when trying to use for its intended purpose I found that it was not powerful enough or had a good enough suction/seal to pull brake fluid out and not create more air bubbles than before. It worked a few times, but it was such a hasle I revereted to the old school 1 man bleeder kits.

Bleeder catch tank will not seal properly. Fittings will not seal properly. the vacuum release is in the worst possible location, you will accidentally hit it during normal operation. I find the quality so poor that I will try to return this to sears for a refund.

This tool works OK... sometimes it is difficult to get a good air tight connection but often that can be done by using teflon tape or just plain old fashioned making sure the tubing and attachments are put together properly. The lever only pulls about one cubic inch of vacuum for each pull, and that makes it an effort to vacuum some systems. Someone else said this is to a re-badged Mityvac. I have found it is a cast aluminum version of the plastic Mityvac MV8010 tool (MV8000 kit), or the aluminum MV8510, but with a basic repair kit added in. Because of the repair kit included, this copy is probably better than the Mityvac models if the extra $25 is OK. But there is nothing on Sears PartsDirect for parts or manual for this tool, and the Craftsman name is being dragged down. So, if you lose the manual, or want other repairs or parts, the only way to get them is use the Mityvac models as a source. Sears are losing me on this.

I work on my motorcycles and not having anyone around when I do the brakes, I find this tool kit invaluable. I also used it to test vacuum switches on my truck when engine codes came up. This tool is a must have for any DIY guy or girl in the garage.

Our youngest son and I do all of our repair work on our and friends vehicles. One area of our work that is sometime FRUSTRATING is bleeding brakes because NORMALY it take two people: one to pump the brakes, one to bleed the brakes. They have to be able to communicate what each is doing OR the brakes don?t get bled properly. We bought this bleeder an are 100% pleased with it. In fact, his 1998 Suzuki GSXR750's front brake have NEVER worked well until we bled them with the Craftsman Brake Bleeder Vacuum Test Kit!

I got it on sale. It seemws a little busy with all the parts, but I was able to bleed the brakes after replacing a front brake caliper without having someone step on the pedal. I recommend the product. My neighbor, the retired mechanic, borrowed it after the plastic one he had stopped working. He liked it so much, he went out and bought one for himself.

The kit includes lots of accessories, but it takes many, many squeezes of the trigger to suck out brake fluid, and even when I wrapped teflon tape around the fittings (as suggested in the manual), I couldn't get a good enough fit to prevent air getting into the system. It took forever to fill a 4-oz. vial. In the end, I used to old-fashioned method--my wife in the driver's seat, pressing the brake while I opened the valve, and telling her to let up while I closed it. That worked much more quickly, effectively, and easily.
