Take Control of Your Yard with Craftsman’s Universal Brush-Cutter

This attachment cuts down thick growth regular line trimmers just can’t handle, and compatible with most attachment-capable gas trimmers, it gives you two tools in one. The 8 inch steel blade eliminates dense brush and weeds with four cutting edges, while the J-handle provides better control and handling while cutting. A solid addition to any landscape, bring this brush cutter home, and add some serious muscle to your trimmer.

  • A poly guard protects the user from flying debris
  • Properly store and maintain the attachment using its included storage hook
  • Mounting hardware is included
  • Weight: 6.1 lbs.
  • Warranty: 2 years

No substitute for chain saw
I would recommend this pruner with one caveat - it is not going to substitute for a chain saw. I bought the pruner because the box said it would cut limbs up to 6" thick. But after opening the box, the instructions warn that it cuts limbs up to only 4" thick. My pruner is now stuck in the middle of a 4" limb that fell the wrong way, jamming the pruner in the cut. The only way to remove the pruner is with a chain saw. This pruner is fine for cutting small limbs, but leave the bigger jobs to a chainsaw.

Very Good Product

Quick connect/disconnect to/from my Craftsman Line Trimmer. Have not used the handle or the shoulder strap that comes with it. Minor vibration at high speeds and the blade could be sharper but it's not bad as it comes. Used on various sized brush/vines/growth up to an inch or so...worth purchasing. May either sharpen this blade or get another type of blade.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for light jobs

I thought this would go through weeds, but it doesn't. It is great for large weeds with stalks or shrubs/bushes. It attaches and removes very easily, light weight and sturdy. Unfortunately the blade that came with it wasn't extremely sharp, and it seemed to dull more than I would have though afer the first use (about 90 minutes of steady use). I would buy it again.

Perfect working brush cutter

I bought this attachment to help elminate some thorn bushes, sapplings and other vines. The attachment was easy to install, didnt change out handles. It cut through the vines and sapplings with no problems. It was well worth the price, i cleared a 25ftx10ft area in no time. I was even impressed that it came with a strap so i didnt have to buy one. Had ery little kick back and was fairly easy to control.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Brushcutter attachment

Bought this attachment to help clear some small brush/ heavy weeds o the property. The blade isn't as sharp as I hoped for. On small brush it mainly beat it off. The ease of switching this attachment with the string trimmer was great. Within a minute you can switch attachments and be back to trimming. Good product for the price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Is it always like this?

Bought the brush cutter attachment and when I got it home I discovered that it was missing the J handle and the locking pin for blade changing. After the mess I went through whe I bought a riding mower (also missing parts and delivery left it in my front yard the day before scheduled) it just was not worth the hassle to go back and try to correct this. The cutter actually works great,I rated it high. I am just very unhappy with Sears. Let's see if they read this and try to make it right.

Craftsman Brush Cutter Attachment Does OK

I am pleased with the ease of use of the brush cutter. However, it does not seem to work well with the type of vegetation I am cutting. So, to be fair, I can see where in certain situations it could work very well and cannot discount the use of this product to others just because it will not suit my particular needs at this time.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Hard to use

This cutter attachment adds a lot of weight to the weed eater. I wanted to use it for cutting berry bushes however it doesn't cut them well. Seems I wasted my money on this item.
