Brushcutter Attachment Makes Yard Work Simple, Efficient, and Stress Free
You don't know how easy lawn maintenance can be until you pick up the Craftsman brushcutter attachment. It allows you to add some serious muscle to your current trimmer. The attachment cuts through thick growth that regular line trimmers struggle to handle. With the compatibility to attach to many attachment-capable gas trimmers, you'll actually getting two tools for the price of one. Tackle dense weeds and brush with the four cutting edges of the eight-inch steel blade. You'll also appreciate the heightened handling and control that you get while cutting, thanks to the J-handle.
The brushcutter attachment is a solid addition to any set of landscaping tools. Whether you have a small yard that requires minimal weekly maintenance or a large yard with endless brush management, you'll be glad to have this trimmer convertible attachment. You won't even have to worry about storing and maintaining the attachment properly because it comes with its own storage hook.

Don't challenge this item with any wood/ woody brush over 1/4". And I hit some bamboo shoots that were mature. Eventually, the SINGLE torx (3/16"?) screw holding the cutter head on the shaft deformed the threaded hole, making the entire unit spare parts only. In store staff helpful, but no cigar. I would like a steep discount on a replacement...maybe. Can I get a witness, Craftsman?
Works good to cut the heavy stuff. It does load the engine on the string trimmer pretty hard but once it's up to speed it does ok out of the box. Sharpen the blades as I did, and this really rips.

This tools cuts almost anything about anything, cuts fast and smooth, good for cutting hard roots or high sticks, it also includes de J-handle, so you can replace the stock one, I prefer the J-handle you can manage it more precisly.

I had to buy an upgraded version of a current weed wacker that I already have in order to use this attachment. I am NOT impressed. First I have to run the weed wacker at a hight RPM just to get it moving and then when it hit something it doesn't cut it very well and most of the time not at all. Furthermore, this causes me to use more fuel and less cut time. You also have to cut really horizontal in order to cut anything low to the ground. Poor design but i guess its because they are using a slotted type of bar so that you can interchange different attachments. Definitely lost money on this thing.
Does not do well at cutting the smallest of brush/weeds. It basically just bend the weeds over and not cutting them. I have to slant the cutter and cut weed/brush one at a time. I have tried several different angles.......never had this problem with other cutters.
It works really well. We did have to return it once due to a screw breaking of but it works wonderful for cutting down large weeds and over grown brush.
