I wanted to trim the hedges of the bushes that were growing fast. I used the the craftsman to cut the hedges and it cut straight and smooth. Even though this is made out of wood product , it wasnt that heavy and easy to use. Looking to buy other craftman products.

I thought these would be great to do some trimming in the yard work. They broke after first use. These have wooden handles and which snap under pressure. I have a different one with full wooden handles and it's smaller than these, but cuts through just about anything. You get what you pay for.

I received new Craftsman Bypass Loppers for Christmas and was so excited, but I am terribly dissappointed. The first time I used them they broke! I was trying to cut a branch about 1 inch thick. Fail.

I bought mine at a special store event during Christmas season a few years ago. I think I only paid $7 at the time. Requires minimal maintenance - just an occasional filing to keep the edge sharp.

I bought these earlier this year to replace the wally-world special I had been using. The difference is amazing. This lopper easily cuts through branches nearly 1 1/2" thick without any excessive strain on the tool or me. The handles are comfortable and help you maintain a good grip while you work. This tool is a little on the heavy side, but the construction is solid and the blade is good and sharp. These are a great value for the price and I would recommend these loppers to anyone needing a good set for home use.

I used to do landscaping work and had an old model of this tool. I'm pretty sure its still in use. When I went to find a new set of loping sheers I was disheartened. So many are now made with lots of plastic and feel very weak for the stress that they are going to take. Then I found that Sears still made this model, but with a beefed up blade. And to make it even better the price was the lowest of the bunch. This is a great tool for a great price.

The picture doesn't show the true size of the lopper. It is larger than your standard hedge shears, and from my tests it has the power to cut through 1.5" large branches. The handles are made of wood with rubberized ends to help your hands grip the tool. The blade is made of forged steel and is extremely sharp. When I first used the tool it almost felt like it needed WD-40. But that is completely normal with a lopper, that is where it gets all it's power from. It is quite heavy so your arms will get tired using it over time. For the quality and price, it is a good value.
