sharp but poor quality Craftsman Bypass Pruners

My wife's previous bypass pruners from another store had broken.  I found these at Sears and bought them for her to use in her garden.

Initially I was a little disappointed to find that when I got home after buying them that they are no longer made in the US.  But with all the quality issues that these pruners have I'm not at all surprised.

The pruners are sharp but don't appears as durable as her previous ones, which coincidentally only lasted one season.  The locking mechanism sticks and is nearly impossible to operate with one hand.  The handles are hard, oddly shaped and uncomfortable to hold for longer periods of time.

In retrospect, even with the lifetime warranty I would steer clear of these Craftsman Bypass Pruners.

Slipper Bootie!!

Bought these for my 87 year old mother and she loves them. Not tight on her feet. Lining makes them warm. Has a non skid sole. Very happy with purchase. (Mom is picky, and she thinks they are great).

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best value for money

Bought this to prune my rose bushes. The pruner got the work done - very comfortable to hold and the blades are pretty sturdy. Would recommend.

Cuts average twigs and branches

Cannot be used on thicker, or very hard shrubs! For typical twigs and branches, its GREAT. Very efficient. Goes on sale here and there once in a while, so grab a few!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman tool

I bought this tool for my landscaping uses. It is such a good tool to cut down all the mid size trees easily. Craftsman is a brand for all my tool uses. I always recommend craftsman brand to my friend and family. And myself will only use craftsman brand as my daily uses.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Sturdy hand pruner cuts smoothly with padded handles.

Nonstick coated blade sliced into branch cleanly and easily. Strong metal construction weighs about 11 ounces. Locknuts look like they will keep tight. Used today for Fall pruning comfortably and precisely, with clean cut of bark.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

djomat

Purchased this item because I needed something smaller to cut the smaller branches/twigs when pruning my trees and bushes. These did a great job. Very sharp.

Decent for the prices

Quite sharp but catches between blades. Not at $15 but for $5 (when on sale), they are OK.
