Product Description

This 19.2-Volt Cordless Impact Wrench Kit Works Every Bit as Hard as You Do

Don't be fooled by the small size of the impact wrench in this Craftsman C3 1/2" Impact Wrench Kit. This thing is designed for balance, comfort and ease of use. Its 1/2" socket with pin retention virtually guarantees your bit stays in place. The 19.2-Volt motor packs enough torque to remove even rusted-on lug nuts, so you know it can handle everyday jobs with ease. Long screws and lag bolts submit quietly to the 200 ft lbs of torque and 0 - 3,000 impacts per minute. And you'll never be in the dark with its bright LED light, which comes on when you pull the trigger.

When you buy this 19.2-Volt Cordless Impact Wrench Kit, you get nearly everything you need to make even the toughest jobs simple. You get two Ni-Cad rechargeable batteries, so you'll always have a fresh battery ready to keep your project on track and on time. If you do forget to recharge, the batteries are interchangeable with other 19.2-Volt C3 tools. You know you have at least one with a charged battery!

  • This Craftsman C3 1/2" Wrench Kit packs a surprising amount of power into one small cordless drill, so you can get the toughest jobs done in the tightest of spaces.
  • With 200 foot-pounds of torque and up to 3,000 impacts per minute, this variable speed, reversible wrench does the jobs for which you thought you needed air tools and a bulky compressor.
  • The bright LED light provides more than enough illumination for even the dimmest working conditions.
  • Ni-Cad batteries last and last, so you can rest assured they'll make it through long days and many recharges.
  • Batteries are interchangeable with all C3 tools, reducing the clutter of multiple batteries and chargers in your workspace.
  • The included storage bag makes it simple to store and carry everything together, so you'll never be missing a bit or your spare battery.

Works great
Mine works pretty good. So far, used it to rebuild a front end on my Saturn SL2, including 8 lug nuts at 100ft/lbs, 2 axle nuts at 147 ft/lbs, 4 brake bracket blots at 90 ft/lbs, 4 control arm bolts at 120, and many smaller ones, all on a single charge of a large li-ion XCP battery. When I was done, the battery was still on yellow. I did try it with ni-cad battery, it did take off 100 ft/lbs, but may be a bit slower then li-ion, not quite sure. The driver is much lighter than Dewalt 300ft/lbs monster and is much easier to operate. It is quite loud though.

Does not work as advertised
Purchased this item after reading mostly positive comments and was optimistic about how this would function. I tried it for the first time this weekend and was immediately disappointed while trying to remove lug nuts torqued to 120 ft. lbs. My first thought was perhaps the battery was not good; so I tried it with a li-ion and the results were the same. I manually loosened the lug nut and torqued it to 100 ft lbs and tried again. Same result. I continued to reduce the torque until it got to a setting this wrench could handle. The most this could muster was 40 ft lbs! A far cry from what it is advertised to handle. I will be returning the item today and may try a different unit in the event this one was defective.

Awesome portable impact, but invest in the Li-Ion XCP battery

I am a former mechanic, so I still do a lot of side work and personal work and use this cordless impact all the time. I actually replaced a Chicago Pnuematic cordless impact with this unit. It saves me constantly having to run an have an air hose down to the job and getting in the way, and get the air impact out all the time. I use it primarily for wheels, suspension and exhaust work. The standard battery is ok, but at 1,5aH it will quickly deplete and you'll constantly be swapping it for the spare battery or waiting an hour to charge. I upgraded to the 4aH Lithium-Ion battery (which required that I also buy a special charger for it (it will also charge the regular Ni-Cd battery pack), which is still sore point with me that Sears makes this Li-Ion battery only chargeable by a special charger that you then have to buy in addition, but this battery makes all the world of difference. I charge it once a week and that is all it needs fpor a weeks worth of work.

You want to be stranded? Because this is how you get stranded!

If you want an impact to be dependable on keep on looking. Will not retain charge long enough to be useful. Battery didn't last more than month till it leaked and cause acid to ruin the trunk of my wife's car. Complete disappointment. You'll be stranded with this sad excuse for a tool.

We hoped this wold work to take of a stubborn tire, but it did not help. Another person with a bar got it off easily. Hope we made a purchase that will help with future needs.

Doesn't work like advertised

I got this to break loose lug nuts on my car, which are ~90ft/lbs. This tool won?t break them loose even with a full charge on the battery. I will have to use it for small jobs since it doesn't work like it should. Hard to believe a ? impact cant loosen a lug nut!

craftsman isn't what it used to be

Long story short, batteries are pathetic and craftsman doesn't stand behind their products. Lesson learned. To be fair, when it worked, it did an acceptable job of removing lug nuts when rotating the tires although it's nowhere near the 200ft/lbs it's rated at. I used it twice to rotate the tires on my truck and fiance's car. Batteries won't hold a charge anymore. It has a 1 year warranty but craftsman doesn't stand behind their products like I thought they did. When I was told at the counter that batteries in kits are only covered for 60 days I was a little frustrated. What made it worse was when the sales guy told me I could buy the EXACT SAME batteries separately and they come with a 1 year warranty when not purchased as part of a kit. Well isn't that nice. So does that mean craftsman knows they're putting inferior batteries in the kit? I don't know but either way, craftsman just lost a lifelong customer. Shame on you craftsman.

Awesome wrench

Wrench feels sturdy and powerful, and is when you pull the trigger. The built in light is a nice bonus feature and the batteries charge from about nothing right out of the box to full charge in about an hour. Very nice.

Great impact

Great impact. I did a full brake job and rotated tires on two other vehicles on a single charge. Then I charged it up and put it in storage compartment of our SUV for the road. Sure beats a tire iron.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
