Great once I replaced the hose and chuck
Like may others, I found it odd that sears sells a great inflator with a piece of junk chuck. I took a shot and ordered a Universal Head Bicycle Replacement Floor Pump Hose for less than ten bucks made for a bike pump and it attached fairly easily. I now have quality universal (presta/schraeder) chuck and a hose that's twice a s long. I use this regularly both for my bikes and cars.

Bad Air Chuck
This is a great little tool. Bought it to inflate my wheelchair tires. Worked fine for the first ten or so uses. Then the crappy, poorly designed and constructed, hose end air chuck failed. It would no longer stay attached to the tire valve stem. Sears wants $25 to replace the hose and chuck assembly with what appears to be the same crappy chuck! This is more than half of what I paid for the entire tool! It would be nice if the automatic function would work to about 60 psi or more. I would NOT recommend to a friend unless Sears fixes the chuck design, which is a common item of complaint with other users.

Great product

I really like the 19.2 volt cordless inflator. The auto setting is very easy to adjust and use. I have used it on trailer tires, bike tires, atv tires and my truck tires. I like the portability and take it with on our trail rides.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Unique Portable Air Compressor

This is a great portable air compressor with a unique design. I love that I can use it with my collection of C3 batteries. My only complaints are that you can't lock it above 40# set point and the gauge is a bit off.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Fabulous idea, but chuck is defective

This pump is a fabulous idea, but the chuck is defective--you get about 15-20 pumps, maybe 30, which for most households takes you beyond the warranty period, then the chuck gives out and releases more air than the pump generates. I've purchased two--both have the same problem, and I see 3 of the first 5 reviews on this site say the same thing. Then, even though numerous customers have the same problem, Sears hasn't developed a way to send us a new hose/chuck for a reasonable price, and we are stuck purchasing another $60 tool. Not the old Sears I have admired for decades.

2 craftsman inflator owner is flat again

I have bought 2 craftsman inflators total cost $140. Love this thing for topping off the air pressure in my tires. After about a year the hose fails. Last 1 I bought because it was half the price of the 1st one & I saw the hose was different. I assumed they had improved the hose durability. Still leary of getting screwed again, I bought the Purchase protect plan which I never do & rarely need. Well as others have stated the chuck no longer seals to the valve stem so it releases air instead of adding. The purchase protect plan has expired so Sears refuses to give me a new hose. I refuse to be screwed/stupid again paying for a known problematic product.

This is an awesome tool and should be in the storage area of all vehicles when you are taking a trip. I have only has this tool a few weeks and it has already saved me twice when the air pressure sensor light should low pressure. it is fast and efficient and requires very little space

Very convenient!

I bought this inflator for quick inflation jobs - like adding a couple of psi to a car tire. For that purpose, it's working out great. It's not silent, but considerably quieter than regular compressors and 12V pumps I've used. The pressure stop feature is really nice, although it can only be set at whole psi increments. Also, it measures the dynamic inflation pressure which is a ~2psi higher than the static pressure according the digital gauge on my unit (when topping off a car tire). The hose length is about perfect to reach the tire valve with the tool sitting upright on the floor, even if the tire valve is rotated up. Most of all, it is so convenient to just pop in a battery, attach the check, and press the trigger.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Glad to have

I got this after a motorcycle trip to the mountains. A friend of mine had one and came in great use. I love the fact it's portable and I can set the PSI and let it go. Once it reached the required PSI it quit, no over filling.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cool Tool!

Works great. I filled up 6 bicycle tires in just a couple minutes. It was much easier than using a manual pump and reasonably fast. It connected fine with the schrader valve. I haven't used it yet on a presto valve. I was able to squeeze the pump into the pack on my rear bicycle rack to take out on the road with me just in case some one in our group had a flat. We will see how well it holds up. It seems to be sturdy enough.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
