The Craftsman 19.2v cordless jig saw with laser track is a workhoarse. I strongly suggest using the lithium-ion battery for longer work time between charges. The other thing, I would suggest to extend battery power & shorten work time is to keep blades fresh. Don't force the cut, just let the saw do the work for you. All, you need to do is guide where you want the cut to be. If the blades are dull, then it will make your work harder to do & use more power, this decreasing your battery charge life. To help keep your cuttings off of your cutting line so that you can see where the blade is, I use a shop vac with hose clamped by where you are cutting. Make sure you are using the right blades for the right job ( i would suggest the Craftsman multi-blade accessory pack, it has both metal & wood blades, as well as scroll blades for making tighter cuts without causing binding or kickback on the blade). I have used my saw, cutting 3/4" plywood, & regular hard board & the jigsaw has more than enough power to make the cuts. The parts that I didn't like; very limited space for extra blades ( i think there is only room for one extra blade, besides the one in the tool - less chuck. The next thing, that might have been nice to have with the jig saw, is a pouch to keep it & your accessories in, while you're not using it, to keep dust out of it. Other than those two issues, I have no complaints. This would make a dependable addition to your C3 portable power tool collection (best of all, the batteries are interchangable with your other C3 tools. One charger & one battery. That's worth a ton in itself...
Like all Craftsman tools, this one features the new annoying "safety" which requires you to slide a switch over with one hand while pulling the trigger with the other and I suppose with your 3rd hand you're supposed to hold the wood or whatever you are cutting. This is stupidity. The only reason I bought this saw is because I'm locked into Craftsman b/c of the batteries. This "safety" on all tools is dangerous and should be replaced.

I believe in corded tools a lot but its hard to beat this saw. No cord to tangle or drag when making round cuts. This has plenty of power for most jobs. I've used it for drywall work, furniture making, cutting in floor and roof vents, etc... If you have a 19.2 C3 battery then get one of these, you will love it!

This Jigsaw works extremely well and it is very easy to change blades. It seems to deliver as much power as the corded models. The laser trac works very well in keeping the saw on a staight line.

I realy like that you can use either the more common "U" type blades as well as the "T" blades. Has plenty of power and cuts well!

Accuracy and power are both excellent with this saw. A tad on the heavy side, particularly with the battery but still has a good agile feel to it. The blade storage is a nice extra and love the portability!

Used it on a kitchen remodel the day after I bought it. I really liked how easy and smooth it handled. The laser and light were spot on. Also not having a cord to be concerned about was also a plus. The two things I think could be betters was if there was a setting for the use of both laser and light together. The other was that I was having a bit of and issue with it being somewhat under powered when I was cutting a 3/4 in plywood.

Good Tool. Evenly balanced once Battery is in. Laser is dead on but it can wash out the line depending on lighting condtions. A led light would have been nice as well.

The Craftsman C3 19.2 volt Jig Saw is awesome. It really works well and being cordless just makes it even better. The built in laser has helped me cut incredibly straight lines when needed. Everyone should own this tool.

I bot this on a whim. I have 3 other corded ones, but decided I'm going to have a full compliment of cordless tools. It worked great right out of the box. Fact is, I got tired of moving my cordless stuff from my garage, to my motor home and back, etc. I went and rebought everything, so now I have all of the same cordless tools in the motor home, as I do in the garage !

This is the greatest! I have always had to fight a cord while making cuts! Not any longer! this has been a really good experiance! The laser guide makes things simple, overall a perfect fit for my shop!

Remodeling my home and this jigsaw is really great. For making longer straight cuts, the laser feature is really worth it. This is a sturdy unit the keeps the blade straight. It has four settings but I have not figured them out yet. I just know it cuts wood best on setting one. If I have a complaint, the unit is heavy.
