I bought these with the expectation that they would outlast and outperform the NiCads. I was SO wrong. I got the battery and charger set and this battery is JUNK. It won't even cut one 2x4, or run my fluorescent light for more than 5 minutes before shutting off. When I take it off the charger, it's already Amber, requiring another cycle. My 5 year old NiCad goes a lot longer than this junk. Shame I lost my receipt, or it would have gone back immediately. (Sears deliberately wipes it's sales records so you can't return even branded items)

i'm on my third battery ... should have bought a different drill when the original 19.2 ni-cad died ... dont try to tell me I don't know ... took the first one apart and used the second one to repalce bad cells ... tried to get sears to replace and had no luck ..I have inferior can openers and hedge trimmers that have outlasted this "Diehard" catch me if you can on my way to Ryobi or De Walt

I like the power to weight ration vs. the Ni-Cad batteries. Still, using it is a recip saw for some serious pruning, I might opt for the larger battery in the future. It does charge quickly, though - another plus.

Replacing my 19.2 Ni-Cads with this Lithium battery was worth it. The charger is mulch-chemistry so I can charge both types. Has lots of power for my tools
