I've had this sander for a few years now and have used it plenty of times. The weight even with the battery is manageable and not awkward. It's pretty well balanced and easy to maneuver. The shape allows you to sand large flat areas or focus on small spots with the point, and you can get into tight places. I haven't had any issues with heat or wear, I just pop in a freshly charged battery when I hear it start to slow down.
The only negative I have is that the switch is a little awkward. If I were wearing thick work gloves it would be tough to press the button. The button starts flush with the housing and moves in about 1/4". You press it in on the opposite side of the unit to turn it off. I would have preferred a trigger or a toggle switch, but it's a minor beef. Overall it's a nice little sander and it's always done the trick for me.

Bought this sander as a result of a basement flood. My wife and I have been using red oak as the trim and because of the flood we need to re-sand before putting another coat of poly on to protect the stain. Sander is light and well balanced which helps the wife as her hands are not the best. Not the first C3 tools nor will it be my last.

This Sander really makes my life easier. It helps me sand anything, even in hard to reach places, and since it's cordless, I never need an extension cord or outlet to plug into. I just snap in the lithium battery, and i'm ready to go.

I've used this sander on several jobs. It helps if you have a lithium battery, otherwise you will run out of juice before the job it done. The product is tough and can take a beating. It has never failed on me and seems to be ready for more! It is a tad loud, but for a rough and tough sander, that would be expected. It is easy to clean (I usually blow it down with my Craftsman compressor) and has a thick handle to grip with your hands. For the price, it is a great deal and won't let you down!!

This sander is very useful for all projects. Though it is hard to find more sand paper that fits it, dont be confused my other craftsman sand paper, it may not fit.

Picked up as part of a set of C3 tools, this sander wasn't used right away, but when I did use it, I found it to be perfect for the job. I have other (corded) pad sanders, but this one was just the right size, had plenty of run time using the NiCd batteries (have a spare that you can charge while using one), and didn't lose the sanding paper like some others do. The sanding pads are a tad expensive (at about $1 each) so you might want to consider buying bulk paper and cutting to shape. For jobs that are out of reach of AC power, it's just the ticket.
