My rechargeable batteries usually last about 3 years. This two pack was a timely deal as my old ones recently gave out. I ordered online and pickup in store a short while later. Real convenient.
Enables use of my battery operated craftsman drill and saw. Enjoy the mobility battery operation provides in an environment without electric. Would like the chsrge to last longer.
I purchased this tool for my husband because he is finishing our basement. He knows that craftsman is the best and they stand behind all their products as does Sears.
Someone else posted they didn't last as long as the originals and the same has been true for me. The first set (I had 2 c3's) lasted for 4 years using them for projects around the house. They kept their charge and had power when I needed them; even if they were sitting a while. The most recent set I bought lasted just over a year and a half. Again, I used them for projects around the house not what I would consider heavy use. In addition, I noticed their power doesn't last as long whether they are plugged into the tool or not. They are constantly draining just sitting there doing nothing. I though maybe one had a short in it but both appear to be acting the same way. The drill and driver are great but now I must constantly think about plugging the batteries into the charger before starting a task.

I have an older set of 19.2 volt power tools (before C3.) My batteries were starting to not hold a charge; I was nervous that i couldn't get any replacements. These will work perfectly in the older 19.2 volt system. I was told that the new Lithium-ion will not.
The new Sears batteries are **** compared to the old ones. I've had Makitas last 10 years but these newly purchased Sears won't last past one year. When I purchased a pair a little over a year ago one would not take a charge. They replaced it. But the pair are now near toss out stage. I have 2 sets and 3 extra drills. The tools are great but what good are they if the batteries won't last. I'm ready to scrap the whole pile and buy a different brand. BUT they are ALL made in China and I think it is a **** shoot. Can the new Lithium batteries be used in the old tools? A thought BUT the cost is outrageous.
I am over 70 years old and have used sear tools since I got out of the USArmy in 1963. these batterys go tp a dril set about 4 years old I do home repairs so I use it 7 days a week and many times each day Everett Gray
