I have a fuel cell type finsh nailer that was plagued with problems and at nearly half the price of the other one I felt this was simply to good to be true, well I was wrong, once again a c3 tool that outperforms the rest> I have remodeled two homes, the one I am working on is a two story older home that I have gutted and am remodeling complete all with sears C3 tools and so far absolutely no complaints... thanks Sears, I am a customer forever.
I would have given it 5 stars but it is a little top heavy, I have arthritis, which could lead to fatigue but other than that, it seems to work flawlessly. This is not a unit you would use for large framing jobs but if your not wanting to hear that loud compressor or use the even heavier cordless nailers such as the paslode, this would certainly be the nailer I would recommend for those finishing jobs that need 5/8" to 2" nails.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas. I have now installed over 300 feet of new baseboards and several other smaller jobs and used around 1500 nails. Not a single hiccup. The depth adjustment works perfectly. This tool was a great addition to my extensive collection of C3 tools and there will be more.
Have been wanting this nail gun forever. Since I have no room -- or need -- for a compressor set-up, but still occasionally need to drive some small brads for projects and random DIY tasks, I had been price-watching the C3 option forever. Finally found it through the Outlet website and, after a nightmare process of ordering (you still owe me $35.61, Sears), I got it. Was in impeccable condition (and about $120 off sticker). Works great for what I need. Already replaced the trim on three doors in the house, fixed two bookcases, reinforced a loose kitchen drawer and, because I was bored, shot about three sleeves of nails into some scrap lumber I had laying around. The battery is still green. It's a little heavy, so I can't imagine holding it over your head for long sessions of molding installation, and with the battery, it doesn't stand upright. It does, however, not fire unless the sensor is pressed in so no worry about Happy Gilmore-style accidents. All in all, a pretty handy tool for somebody who only has occasional use for a nailer, doesn't have the space for a compressor and is already invested in the C3 line. As for it being the last tool I ever own; moderators and Sears-ers, feel free to see my BBB entry. It's a doozy.
Enjoyed using the Additional Power versus the First Brad Nailer, More Power especially in "OAK" Combined with a XCP Battery .... Total Winning Package !!!
I have a lot of the C3 tools so bought this to add to my kit. It looked heavy in the pictures and it is. Much heavier than a pneumatic brad nailer. Wouldn't want to use it long on overhead work. Seems to be an awful lot of hardware just to drive a thin 18ga brad. The lightest actual weight with a small Lion battery is 6 lbs- 2 ozs, empty. With big Lion battery it's 6 lbs-10 ozs. With big NiCad, 7 lbs-4.5 ozs. Weighed on a digital U.S. Postal Service home and business scale. Would I recommend it to a friend? The only selections were yes or no. It seems to be well made so I might recommend it to a friend along with my opinion about the weight. It's hard to open the front to release a jammed brad without losing some skin so wear gloves or use pliers on the release lever. It doesn't come with a plastic carrying case and won't fit back into the cardboard box with the belt hook installed. I don't need to use it very often so probably good to have for the occasional job without hauling out a compressor and hose for my air gun.
