When skimming leaves off the mulch, gas or electric will provide a little too much power and take the mulch with it. This blower skims the leaves off almost perfectly with much less mulch in the mix. I also love this blower for cleaning out the garage and driveway - these tasks are too small to mess with my corded blower. I just wish I hadn't dropped it because it sounds different although no loss in power. The C3 blower is still in the blower/sweeper category, but still a very powerful unit with a longer lasting charge when paired with an XCP battery. I've had my C3 blower for over 3 years now and use it 1 to 3 times a week. I use my corded blower for bigger jobs less than once a month.
This blower has enough power to blow off dust, leaves and grass clippings from my patio, walk and driveway. But I don't think it would be very effective at blowing lots of leaves into a pile on the lawn. It is very light weight and easy to use and not very noisy. The battery charges in about 30 minutes and lasts for only 10 minutes. I bought a second battery to extend the length of time I can use the blower. If you are looking for a convenient, light weight blower to keep you patio or deck clean, this one would be a good choice.

I love this blower. I use it everyday. It's a light weight blower so it's easy on the arm. It's great for blowing off the sidewalk or the garage. It's not meant for large leaf blowing. I have bought these for gifts. And everyone has loved it. I do want to recommend that you buy the: Craftsman C3 19.2-Volt XCP High Capacity Lithium-Ion Battery Pack at It's quite a bit more costly. But totally worth it. It lasts longer and is more powerful. The other Lithium battery is nice, but this one makes a big difference, especially if you have 15 or more minutes of blowing to do. Mine also came with the weed whacker. I love it too. It's light weight and works great for my small yard. All three are a great combo.
This blower is perfect for small clean up jobs on the patio or drive way. I would not plan on getting rid of your bigger more powerful leaf blower for fall clean up. Battery lasts about 15 minutes.
Tried this blower once since purchasing, but it didn't seem like the battery was fully charged, since it was blowing a bit weaker than I would have liked. The next day I tried to recharge the included battery using the included charger, and noticed the defective light was blinking, so I tried charging another battery on same charger and it still read defective. When I placed the new battery on my old charger it read fully charged, so I'm guessing the blower will be for very light duty only.

I have always used electric blowers around the house and have never had a problem until this year. Pulling cords around got to be a pain in the you know what. I had already bought the multi tool craftsman lack so I have extra chargers and batteries handy. As long as you have one charged on reserve there is no reason you can't do most jobs around the house.
This blower works okay on dry grass clippings and flowers that have fallen off my crape myrtles. But they have to be dry. When wet they weigh too much to be blown awayeasily, because the motor is not very powerful. It is very light and easy to use. I only needed it to blow off my driveway/patio after I mow. This blower does that job. If I didn't already have c3 tools I probably would not have bought this due to the price. Wait for it to go on sale or use a coupon like I did. It's not worth $100. Maybe $90. I see what the other reviewer is saying about removing the end piece to get some more air flow. It seems to help a little bit, but the flow is less concentrated now. It's easy to take off and put back on.
