Fits perfectly between the 1/4" and 1/2" C3 impacts

I own both of the 1/4" C3 impact and the 1/2" impact already. I saw this and figured that it would be a good in between the two. It is definitively smaller then the 1/2 and seems to feel about the same as the 1/4", but I haven't put the side by side yet. When compared power wise to the 1/2 the 3/8 doesn't have as much punch as I got to test them side by side on removing the wheels from a Town & Country. The 3/8 struggled a little, but did remove all the lug nuts with little hassle. The 1/2 just blew them right off, no issues. Overall it's great for the tighter spots and I luckily bought a used set of 3/8" impact sockets that work great with this tool.

Best for small stuff
Even when using a lithium battery I couldn't break a 72ft lb axle nut on my motorcycle that gets frequent removal. When I tried to retorque it to 72ft lbs it didn't come close. I think it got to about 50ft lbs on the torque wrench. Perfect for small jobs which is what I wanted it for but couldn't budge a 150ft lb lug nut on my truck obviously. Get a 1/2in for bigger jobs or get a 1/2 breaker bar.

I'm glad Craftsman finally came out with a 3/8" impact

Finally, I've been waiting for years. I've always been a big fan of the 19.2 volt craftsman products and couldn't wait until they came out with a 3/8" impact. I use this everyday in the garage, working on automobiles. Billions of uses, great tool to own.

So useful!

I bought this after buying the 1/2" C3 impact. Such a good purchase. Having the 3/8" version of this impact is very useful. While having a 1/2" is nice it can be too powerful for some bolts. The 3/8" with its lower torque is perfect for smaller jobs. I recommend getting the XCP battery too, makes a good impact an excellent impact.

Very Useful tool

I purchased this tool because it is a more useful size than the one half inch drive I also own. I find that the three eights drive sockets for this impact wrench are more than adequate for most applications that I need an impact wrench for. I am older now and do not take on the heavy automotive repairs that I once did. Mostly I use the impact on seven sixteenths, half and three quarter inch nuts and bolts and this tool is more than adequate to loosen or tighten these bolts and nuts. It also utilizes the 19.2 volt power packs that I I own several of.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

wrench

Bought this to add to the set, had some difficulty getting the "adjustable" clutch to do its thing, but now it is working just fine. there is nothing in the manual telling you how to change the settings on the clutch, which I think would be valuable piece of info for the future, would save some phone calls to customer service.

Great tool

I have been a firm believer of "air impact" tools until I used this one. It is nice having the same luxury of an impact without an air hose. This is a recommended tool for any "do it yourself" person.

3/8 drive impact.

nice tool . but you really need to use the ion battery with it. it seems to have more torque and last longer. the only thing that keep me from giving it 5 stars.is the ring on the anvil will not last long. already had to replace it twice. had o buy the rings from a snap-on dealer . cant find them at sears. only had this tool for about a year now.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
