Cable operated hose clamp pliers allow the user to reach hose clamps that other pliers cannot, saving the user time. Locking mechanism on the pliers lets the user release the pliers and work with both hands.

I didn't know what I was missing. You just put it on and lock it, you're ready to go. I reused the factory clamps with this tool. It is a bit expensive, but works well.

Allowed me to get impossible-to-remove (with pliers or vise-grips) clamps off. Operation is straightforward, could be 5 stars if the grip would "ratchet" closed rather than waiting for full squeeze before locking.

I bought this tool to remove a hose clamp from my wife's car. The hose clamp seemed to be installed at the factory before it was installed in the car. It was in a position that I could not reach from either up top or underneath the vehicle. It was several hours before I almost gave up.. Then.. I saw this hanging on the hook at my local Sears store, and remembered that they sold it, ran down and purchased it brought it back to the house and in 15 mins I had the hose clamp off the car and replaced the radiator hose with a better hose clamp. I like that the pliers have a locking mechanism that allow me to lock the pliers into place and basically gives me a third hand. I gave it 4 wrenches because it still wasn't small enough to get into really small places..
