Cuts through old grout

Makes a difficult grout removal job very easy. Aggressively grinds away old grout without damage to tiles. Outlasts other blades I've used. Quality accessory at a good price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works on cement board

If you need to make an unusual cut in cement board (HardiePanel, for example) this is the blade to use.  Takes some extra time but will not rip up the board or leave ragged edges like a jig saw.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This makes a tough job easy!

I used this carbide blade with my NEXTEC Multi-Tool to remove grout from between ceramic tiles.  A job that has usually taken several hours and lots of intense labor with a grout rake was completed in a fraction of the time and with a lot less strain on my body.  This accessory is a definite must have if you have a multi-tool.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Versatile tool, but question carbide blades

I have used the Multi - Tool on several home projects and is great. But in removing grout from tile the circular carbide blade wore down very quickly and are not an inexpensive item, quality and durability could be enhanced.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for masonery stuff

Craftsman Carbide Circular Blade - 12 Volt NEXTEC Compact Multi-Tool Accessory is a fine little attatchment for your masonery needs. It works fantastic on mortar removal. It use dto take a while to cut out mortar between bricks, but with the carbide ciruclar blade on my nex tec multi tool, it is a snap and quick. I have a cement patio table in my front yard that I inheirited a fe summers ago & it had globbed up paint all over the top & didn't look too good. I used the carbide blade to remove the build up of paint on the surface & it did a fair job for what I was wanting to do. I have also used the carbide circular attatchment to trim some patch work that I did on some broken corners on some brick in th back yard. After my mortar dried, I used the carbide cirular blade to trim up the edges and smooth them down. I like this little blade.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Next 12V CM Multi-tool Carbide Circular Blade

Great tool, very versatile. In short, it does the job and does it well. Disappointed with the quality of the carbide circular blade. While it did remove the grout around a half dozen 16inch tiles, it was spent before I finished the job. Either the quality should be better, or the price (14.99) should be lowered.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Awesome when working with old mortar!

I received the Craftsman Carbide Circular Blade as a part of the NEXTEC Multi-tool for Christmas. Obviously I did not have enough projects to examine all of its advertised accolades so I set up a series of tests in my shop. I have several hunks of red brick still joined by mortar from an old fire pit I picked up to recycle the brick. I had been using a mortar hammer to break the bricks apart so it was easy to set this test. The Carbide Circular Blade and the Carbide Rasp cut through the old mortar like butter and then cleaned up the sides of the bricks in no time flat. The only problem I noticed was the NEXTEC Tool did become hot to the touch after a while. Looking at the price, the accessories are expensive when compared to the overall cost of the entire set which is why I did not give it a full five stars.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works great to prep cement for paint!

Tonight I used this carbide circular blade to "scuff" up some cement in preparation for painting.

We have a birdbath/fountain that developed a crack. We had it sealed for a while with RTV but that only lasts so long under water.

We decided to try using UGL DRYLOCK Masonary Sealer this time.  But to do this I needed to get rid of the old RTV and make the cement a little rougher.

First I scraped the RTV off, then I used the Craftsman NEXTEC Multi-tool with this carbide blade to finish removing the RTV and then scuffing the cement.  I was very happy how easily the the blade scratched and evenly scuffed the concrete.  The crack was at least 20 inches long and it tool less than five minutes to scuff up the crack and then scuff  and smooth out the edges.

I highly recommend this blade for doing this type of project.  It worked quickly and easily.

I have a cement step in the back of the house I am going to use this on next.  I know it will work well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
