I recently ordered 5 sets for our start-up company. A superb tool set at a good value. You definately need to inventory to ensure EVERY item is there upon receipt. Odd that ratchets and adapters are not included in the set though. Having 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drive ratchets, for the sockets provded, is something I consider "essential".

This is great set of high-quality tools. These tools are built to last and have an unconditional lifetime guarantee. As of November 2010, all of these tools are made in the USA. When you get your tools, I recommend you perform a full inventory. My 198-piece set came with only 196 pieces. There was no issue getting Sears to provide the 2 missing tools, but I'm glad I checked.

I bought this set probably a year ago and I must say the addition of ratcheting wrenches is superb! 198 pieces didn't sound like a ton of tools but when you pull all the large tools out of the box it's almost a little overwhelming. It's not a simple "socket set" found in the retail stores, it's some very large wrenches that would cost waaaaay more than the amount paid. I have used a majority of the tools in the box and when you already have a good socket set and hand tool collection this box nearly completes your arsenal. Now all I need to do is expand my wimpy tool chest and i'll be ready to break something else. Remember when you buy this, it's not intended for someone who doesnt' have a tool chest or a storage option for these bad boys. This massive set is just inside of a large cardboard box with the tools sorted out in to groups of similar items contained in plastic bags. Get yourself a tool chest before you buy this or something similar or you'll be like me with them sitting in a carboard box with your tool buddies making fun of you.
