This is an excellent set to fill out the basic mechanics sets. In the set I received, the flex sockets, crows foot wrenches, ratchets, and prybars were all USA made. Can't get those in the stores anymore. Many others were USA made too. The slide handles were not USA made -- disappointing, along with Mini pliers & locking pliers. Expect brown-box packaging, as this is how Sears packages discontinued items, but what's inside is a bargain and has many things you can't get anymore.

I just received this set after a couple of weeks of debating when it went on closeout. The picture shows all old stock USA-made tools, which was the main reason I wanted to buy it. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The box arrived, and it was simply a brown cardboard box with the tools thrown in. Some were in the package they would be in from the store. Most were loose. The vise-grip pliers and mini pliers came from China. The t-handles don't say USA on them so I'm not sure where those are from. If you want some discontinued USA-made tools this set still isn't a bad deal on closeout, but don't expect it all to be USA-made. It also should be packed better than it is.

This is definitely a great tool set. I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a superior set of mechanic?s tools. From the free shipping, excellent warranty, and great quality to the fact that they are Made in the USA all adds up to one great product. Craftsman is the best way to go for great quality and priced tools for sure!
