Overall, others give this:
I started with the 51 piece Max Axess socket tool set @ $49.00 with the Craftsman Club discount price. I was able to see the set in one of the satellite Sears stores and it looked good. I was hesitant to purchase the 51 piece set as I wanted the 3/4" drive size sockets, but even at $153.00 on sale from a normal $200.00 it was still a good deal. But, I settled on the 51 piece set. To buy at the Sears store to get the $10.00 Craftsman Club discount I needed to purchase a gift certificate for the price of the tool set and use it to make the online purchase while I was still in the Sears store. Somewhat of a hassle, but not a deal killer. So I got home with the set and began trying out ALL of the sockets and accessories. I got to the 1/4" standard socket adapter and put it into the ratchet wrench and it would not release (you just need to typically push with your thumb to remove the socket). I tapped the wench on a wood block still no dice-still stuck. I tried the 3/8" adapter in the wrench and almost the same problem, but I was able to remove the adapter so I was okay with that. I returned to the Sears store the next morning and showed the wrench to the gal that had sold me the set. I think she thought I was nuts, but I handed the wench to her and she ended up asking two other employees for help and no one could get the drive adapter out. So they replaced the set with another one that we even tried out both adapters. So problem fixed-or so I thought. I didn't do much with the set the day I brought it home, but I opened the box the next morning and whoa! Two sockets were missing and during the attempts to remove the adapter from the other set I never noticed that the 9 and 10 mm sockets were not in their slots. So back to the Sears store again. They were more than gracious to give the the two sockets from the set that I had returned the day before. So I was a happy camper. However, **** as I can be I kept looking at the 131 piece set and it finally ate at me enough that wanted it. I had asked at the small Sears store if I could exchange the small set for the larger one if I decided I wanted it and she mentioned that because I purchased the set on line that they could not do an exchange because I purchased the set with the gift card. I needed to do the exchange at the Tigard, Oregon store in the mall. So I finally found out that I could do the entire exchange on line. Sears would issue a credit for the original set for its purchase price of $49.99 and I would pay an addition $102.99 so I did that online. I got three different pieces of paper. 1. the exchange sheet with a barcode on it. 2. a purchase sheet with a barcode on it and 3. the communication that the order was ready for pickup. So I jumped in my truck and drove the 16 miles to the Mall and went to Sears pickup department. I tried to use the kiosk to do a scan of the exchange, that wouldn't work. See ******.com for the rest of this review. It is lengthy
This set is just handy. With it you are ready for just about anything. I ahve all the sockets in the world but I usually grab this and can handle any job.

My husband needed a set of tools at the house so he could work on our cars here, he is a mechanic by trade. Surprised him with this one, he was very pleased!
This set has about all one needs for the standard work at home on a car or mower. The open end sockets and wrenches eliminate the need for long sockets. This allows getting into tight spaces easier.
