Great Mower
This is a great mower. I first got it home and had to learn how to drive it. But its just like a car the gas pedal on one side and the brake pedal on the other.Whoa How easy is that! Lower the deck and started mowing. It cuts lever. The only thing was the steering wheel came off. Had to stop get tools out and put back on. All is good.

Love this tractor!

This has worked great for me so far. I started out using it with the chute down and it throws the grass too far for my liking. I purchased the mulch kit for it from Sears and that didn't fit. It take the MTD kit that can be found on-line, but I returned it after trying cutting with the chute up and shipping block in place. Nice pattern and no need for the mulch kit! It has a great feel in the seat and steering wheel with zero problems. Make sure you adjust the deck wheels 1/2" from your cutting height.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Broken deck belt twice in 3 months

I have an average sized yard, and the mower has torn the deck belt twice in the first 3 months. The deck was on the highest setting and grass was average height for weekly mowing. Completely unacceptable and belts are not covered under warranty.

Too Many Problems

I purchased this mower 2 weeks ago and have had too many problems to give a favorable review. The mower would not start after I got it home so I contacted Sears and they told me to bring it back to the store, I rented a truck and trailer to get it back to the store because Sears would not pick it up. After 10-15 minutes of messing with the tractor the store worker got it to start and suggested that there was "gunk" in the carburetor (from when the manufacturer tested the engine originally) and it should "run just fine" now. Since then I have regretted keeping the mower because it still does not start up on the first try (once it gets started it seems fine but a brand new mower should not take multiple turns to get started) and the cut is very uneven which leaves my lawn looking terrible. I typically have great success with Sears' products but this one has been disappointing. And to be fair, this mower has some strengths, I like the automatic transmission, ability to mow in reverse and I like that there are 5 cutting heights to choose from. I still haven't decided whether to return/exchange it or just put up with the issues to avoid the expense of renting a truck/trailer again.

Great Lawn Tractor!

This is a smooth riding, clean cutting, easy to understand lawn tractor at a great price. As far as these devices go, it is not overly noisy, easy to start and as I previously mentioned, gives a very smooth, confortable ride.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just plain ****. Poor engineering leading to poor quality experience. Big mistake to assume Sears = satisfaction.

Not Quite Just It.

The foot-pedal automatic is not for everyone--very hard to adjust your forward speed. You end up mowing too fast. No cruise control like other brands with auto trans. And for some reason, after a couple hours mowing so much debris ended up on top of the mower deck that the transmission drive belt began slipping. We returned it and shopped for something better.

Just love it

I have only had the mower for about a week but have mowed 3 different lawns with it. This thing cuts great and is easy to use. It cuts the grass so fine and tosses it so far you don't have lines of dead grass all over your yard. The lady at the Grand Rapids mi sears knew everything about the mowers and helped guide me to my new and great ride. When the day comes and I need a new mower I will have no other choice than a craftsman. If your mowing with something other than a craftsman, your doing it wrong.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

It's a good tractor

I like the tractor. but the 46" deck would not fit in my smaller pickup truck. It's terrible I couldn't buy it because my friend has this same model and it mows fine and the engine run good. I would recommend this one, however make sure you have a trailer or it fits in your truck.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
