So far it works great. Assembly was pretty easy if you follow directions. easy to use and it does what it supposed to. Don't know why some people complain. If your working yhat precisely you should have spend at least $$$$
Works ok. Got it home and unpacked it. Took about an hour to assemble. I tried using the blade that came with the saw and found it was almost impossible to rip a 2 x 4. Very difficult to push the wood through the blade. Went out and bought a nice Dewalt blade and that worked fine. Fence could be better. Can be difficult to align. Also found I needed to brace the saw to keep from tipping over while ripping oak.
This is a wonderful saw. Right out the box, the saw worked great. The blade was true and the fence worked like a charm. I also like the dust collection port. I will recommend this saw because it gets the job done and the price is also reasonable.

This table saw looked like it had the right portability built right into it. Took me about 2 hours to assemble it. Except when it was time to put the blade into it. It turns out that the arbor on the motor shaft was a shade too big for the center hole in the blade. I returned the saw and did not get another. Apparently, the manufacturer did not have sufficient quality controls to prevent out-of-spec parts from being used. I did not want to chance it with another saw possibly made from the same batch of parts.
This item functions well but the platform is very unstable. There is nothing to stop it from tipping over when cutting plywood or anything other than small pieces. We've tried several adaptions to stabilize it. The best solution was to cut a board of about 3.5 feet and prop one end to the floor and the other up under the edge of the table top. This is a great design for storage but is useless and dangerous without extra support. I recommend paying a little extra and buy a DeWalt. Also, do not order this online through the Sears website, just go direct to the store. The online Sear's website is flawed.
I got this as a gift for my dad as he is older now and the days of bending over to use a hand held circular saw are a thing of the past. The collapsible frame on wheels make it easy for him to move from place to place. This table saw if perfect for him and the household projects that he is looking to do. The only thing I have to complain about is the fact that I didn't keep this for myself :)
My old table saw was a ryobi I had bought at auction, and the motor blowed up. They wanted a hundred dollars for the motor. I started looking for a bargain to cut vinyl flooring my wife wanted to put down in the living room. I came upon this saw at about 170 dollars. It has been great and works well. Its not a five hundred dollar contractor saw, but it does everything i need done
This is an excellent saw. It is very sturdy and well made. The size it good. Not too bulky. It is another great Craftsman product. You can't go wrong with Craftsman.
