Craftsman Coil Circuit tester is reliable

Craftsman Coil Circuit tester is reliable and dependable. I have a small engine repair shop & use this tester several times a day. I like the long cord for testing where ever you need without having to stop & relocate your grounding alligator clip.  I sometimes have to do my testing outside in front of the shop & you can still see the bulb when it's lit out in the sunlight. The sharp tip allows you to easily pierce any wire that needs checked or to check the pins in a connector. The alligator clip is strong enough to hold without pulling loose while you are testing. I have used a couple of test probes like this, that I have purchased from our local automotive parts stores & none have lasted me, no time at all. Since, I have purchased this Craftsman circuit tester, I have not had to replace a tester since. I have read reviews that bulbs were hard to find, but I have seen them in my local Sears store back where the fuses are displayed for the V. O. M. But I have not had to replace my bulb in my tester yet and like I said earlier, I use my tester multiple times daily. The ony real complaint or negative that I have, is the alligator clip is sometimes too strong & harder to remove when it it secured on a larger diameter grounding point, such as a larger bolt on the chasis or frame. I would have no problem, recommending this tester.

No Bulbs
This product is no good without replacement bulbs. Just like everyone else said, what good is a $23 tester for when you can't buy a .25 cent replament bulb? I need a replacement bulb myself.

found replacement bulbs

For everyone looking for replacement bulbs for your circuit tester, I located them on the bottom shelf under the meters.  This was in the Sears store in St Clair Square Mall in Fairview Heights IL. Below is the information off the receipt. 2 bulbs in package for $2.99.

super nice

recently had to replace mine. i love the long cord on my new one. the only thing that bothers me is how big it is. its hard to get it in close areas, but the mini will not handle the volts that this will. other than that its great

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
This product is ok, but would be better if bulbs were available.

I found that when the light burns out, replacement bulbs are hard to locate. I located a 2 pack replacement set thru autozone. part#25888. Im providing this info so everyone can not go crazy looking for bulbs since SEARS does not carry them at all, including their service center.
