helpful tool

I mount a lot of drawer slides and this tool is very helpful is speeding up the process. I clamp the slide in place, drill the mounting holes, flip this tool over to a Phillps head driver, and then drive the mounting screws into place.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Compact Drill and Driver

I have owned three of these because they are the best version of this type of product that I have found. They won't survive long if you are not careful with them but they drill and countersink nicely and then you can flip it quickly in order to drive the screw. I recommend buying the additional bits for it because when they break it is difficult to find a place that has them. You could probably buy a regular bit and alter it but it will take a grinder and a little time and it never really works as well as the original. Overall, if you are careful with it, it will save you time and make your job a little more fun.

Byer beware

I purchased this tool years ago when it first came out and have loved its usefulness, however I ended up on Fathers Day in the Emergency Room because of what I see as a design flaw. The shaft of the unit sheared off while I had my full body weight against it and punctured my other hand and caused massive bleeding and swelling. Its design hasn't changed in over 15 years. Compare it to the Dewalt shaft, you'll see what I mean!

A gotta have tool

I bought this on sale and never realized how handy and efficient it was until building shelves in the garage. With the countersink and drill bit easily swapped out for the Phillips driver bit. this Craftsman tool made my job quick and easy. Highly recommended

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Time Saver

The Craftsman Drill and driver Speed Lok 64332 is a great time saver. Great for predrilling deck screws and counter sinking or counter boring then flip the bit and screw the deck screw in one operation. No more stopping to change out bits and tips. It's all in one setup is great. The size that come swith this set makes a 7/64" pilot hole and just right for a number 8 wood screw. This is a nice little tool to add to my wood tool collection and my C3 & Nextec cordless tools. This comes with the Craftsman warranty. I would recommend this speed lok setup for anyone doing wood working or any type of wood repairs. OK, I have used this tool on a few projects now & it has done it's job with no issues. I have read where the bit always falls out or doesn't work right. But mine has worked just fine in my shop. I like even more now, than I did when I purchased, it. I used it to build some jigs for my miter guage on my Craftsman table saw & all of my screws are flush and smooth and works great for making shop jigs. I used it on some drawers that I made. I used it to repair some window seals at my daughter's house. I am definately going to have to buy a set of these with different sizes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Absolutely Cool time saver when putting many screws in wood.

I first saw the tool while working with a friend. HAD to have one.  Does away with using 2 drill/drivers or having to switch pilot bits, countersinks, and screwdriver tips.  It even has a hex wrench built in to the base. Obviously this is NOT a $60 tool so don't compare it to one and you won't be disappointed.  Great time saver.  Used it to build a plywood boat and had a lot of screws to place in soft wood. NO splits and no wasted time swapping stuff around. The parts do gather sawdust and/or resin but that goes with woodworking. Once you know it happens, just remember to clean off the parts now and then.  When I got in a rush and snapped a bit, all the parts were there to make the change. I do recommend having some spares.... Life happens (even to us DIY pro's).  I use a bar of soap to keep bits from sticking.  Occasionally run the bit into the bar and move on.  Oh, I suggest you get the set of 4 bit/countersinks for it for different size screws and sinks.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good at first, but it can get frustrating in time

There is a part of me that loves and hates this tool. I love the idea of not having to loosen the chuck, put in the new drill bit, and then tighten the chuck. That is where this tool works great at saving time. The part of me that hates this little number is after using it multiple times, the drill bit is comes loose and gets stuck in the wood that I am drilling in. It doesn't happen all of the time, but when it does it is a pain. Also, you need to clean the debris off of the drill bit before you insert it back in the sleeve. I have had to drill out the wood that get stuck in the bottom just so I can lock the drill bit section back in the sleeve.

All in all, this tool works, but after long use, it can be really frustrating.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
