Compound leverage handle action. Double overwind spring. Grade 8 center pivot bolt threaded into bottom blade keeps blades in adjustment longer. Molded plastic grips. Bulldog/notching blade pattern cuts thick sheet steel and multiple thicknesses of sheet steel (seams) up to 0.062 in.

These are average compound snips with a comfortable grip. Not posted clearly in the online description is the short cutting depth. These snips are only for notching a 7/8" cut and are hard to use on longer cuts. Also for anyone who is using these to cut against a right angle, the thickness of the cutter makes it difficult. Sharp, comfortable but limited in use.

The short throat on these snips makes it very easy to make notch cuts in sheet metal. They don't jhave the tendancy of curling up the work-piece like the standard aviation snips do. I work a lot with 24 gauge galvanized steel and I've found that these snip handle it with ease. Oh and by the way, did I mention they come with the famous Craftsman Warranty?
