fits everything

most testers can't fit half of what this can fit and for a fraction of the cost. This is the best cooling system pressure tester on the market. It fits things other testers need expensive adapters for

why don't they build good tools anymore?

nice universal connection that would connect to just about anything... however, it is complex to operate and you must read the operators manual to do it right. additionally; the unit i bought worked fine for one time only, then failed to hold pressure afterwards. i returned it and am still using my 30 myear old stant tester and would gladly spend the money for adapters to make it fit newer model cars. one time use, is just not good enough!

Decent product

This is not my first choice for a cooling system pressure tester, but it does what it is intended to do. The advantage of this type of tester is that it is more flexible and able to test some systems that you can't with a standard tester such as Stant. Plus the adapters are in the kit, and you don't have to spend hundreds more for them to test various car models. I only use this at home as I don't turn wrenches to make a living any more. If I was still a mechanic on a professional level, I probably would go with a Stant system, and buy the required separate adapters as they are quicker and easier to use. This kit is all inclusive, but is not a as simple to use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Pressure Tester

The Craftsman Coolant Pressure Tester worked fine for the first year. Then it quit. I used it 3 or 4 times. In most cases, it was easy to find problems in the coolant system, although it would have been nice to able to use this tool. The manual gives part numbers for all seals and the bladder, bur neither Sears or anyone else sells parts for this tool. Purchase at your own risk because the seals and bladder will fail, it is just a matter of time.

Not top of the line, but gets the job done.

I am a home DIY mechanic, and I have used this tool to diagnose and verify repair work on 3 separate cooling system leaks that have plagued our cars. This tool works, and it gets the job done. Yes, it is light and a little flimsy as the other reviewers suggested, but I did not want to spend the big bucks to get a top of the line tester for what I need it for. The tool uses an inflatable bladder to seal the radiator neck, and then when it is sealed with the bladder you move the selector valve to pressurize the system. The bladders are rubber just like a bicycle inner tube, and you get 1 spare in the box. My original one popped recently so I am down to my spare now. In response to the reviewers that claim there are no replacement parts, you are incorrect. I ordered 2 more bladders from the manufacturer at www.pbtusaparts.com, and received them a few days later, so now I have 2 spares. The part number for the bladder is 80003. I would buy this tool again.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
