Not usually the type of guy who needs to use the directions, but they were necessary with this unit, however they are extremely poor directions. you will need at least two hours and a great wife to stand there and hold various parts and pieces up for you, while you yell at the direction book!!

This is one of those items I wish Craftsman would change manufacturer and connection parts), but once it is together it is sturdy and very useful. It is a little complex to put together, mainly because the holes have to line up perfectly for the quick connect parts to screw together, plus the overall stability doesnt come together untill all of the parts are complete.
This is a great shelving unit. Very sturdy. The directions are confusing at first but once you get going it becomes simple to finish. A helper would be nice, but I got it done by myself so its not that hard.
It is time consuming to put together, but worth it in the end. I bought 2 corner shells and 2 regular shells. Looks great and big enough to put all my power tools on with cases.
The other reviews are spot on when it comes to how difficult it is to assemble this shelf. The directions are very poor and building it is not instinctual. Other than that, it's a great shelf.
This product is not as sturdy as the picture might suggest. In addition, the assembly instructions are absolutely horrible to comprehend. Shocked that Craftsman would would allow a product like this under their brand
Lots of assembly, and lots of ways to go wrong, all the worse because of really bad directions and poor illustrations. Finally got it assembled and it looks great, but was it worth the time and aggravation. If there is an oposite to the word foolproof, this would be it.

Like others have complained, the instructions are cryptic and unclear. It took me 2h+ to just do the base following the instructions only to realize that they didn't makes sense. I put the instructions aside and re-did everything to be done in another 3h. I wish the product had some sort of rubber feet at the bottom instead of bare metal on the group (scratches) but otherwise it looks good. Oh and to those who have not received all the parts, I was lucky to receive one extra part... an empty bag of cheetos inside the box.
Bent 2 of the legs after it was put together, just sliding it. For something of this size-it needs legs twice as thick. Contacted sears-had to go thru 3 people before one would give me a new set of legs.Complicated-cumbersome assembly.
