craftsman corner shelving unit, Excelent Once Together! However,

Not usually the type of guy who needs to use the directions, but they were necessary with this unit, however they are extremely poor directions. you will need at least two hours and a great wife  to stand there and hold various parts and pieces up for you, while you yell at the direction book!!

Frustrated
I have had to exchange it 2x's, due to the same reason of missing parts. Either you get to many of one part or you don't get any at all. Im debating if I should try to exchange it one more time or just give up and get a refund. Instructions are hard to understand, it is real frustrating specially when you dont have all the parts.

opposite of foolproof

Lots of assembly, and lots of ways to go wrong, all the worse because of really bad directions and poor illustrations. Finally got it assembled and it looks great, but was it worth the time and aggravation. If there is an oposite to the word foolproof, this would be it.

Worst instructions. Use your common sense instead

Like others have complained, the instructions are cryptic and unclear. It took me 2h+ to just do the base following the instructions only to realize that they didn't makes sense. I put the instructions aside and re-did everything to be done in another 3h. I wish the product had some sort of rubber feet at the bottom instead of bare metal on the group (scratches) but otherwise it looks good. Oh and to those who have not received all the parts, I was lucky to receive one extra part... an empty bag of cheetos inside the box.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

weakest legs for product

Bent 2 of the legs after it was put together, just sliding it. For something of this size-it needs legs twice as thick. Contacted sears-had to go thru 3 people before one would give me a new set of legs.Complicated-cumbersome assembly.

Great shelf, some assembly challenges, good use of space

Purchased this shelf to take advantage of corner space in my garage.

Pros= the box it came in looked rough on the outside when received, but no scratches and dents on actual parts.  Exact number of parts were provided.  Once it is together, shelf is very solid and holds a lot of materials.  You can also choose to have the side brackets up which helps keep items on the shelf.  With it being a corner cabinet, it definetly increases surface area for storage.

Cons= directions are not intuitive, so I disregarded them.  This may be partly due to the quicklink clips that I have never seen or used before and it tooks some time to figure out how they work.  The first steps are difficult to do by yourself as the red legs are very loose until you get the first 2 shelves attached.  Of the 3 shelves that are adjustable, be sure which heights you want as changing them would require significant time and energy.

Overall, I would purchase this again.  I've been able to place more and heavier items on this shelving unit than I had anticipated.  Would recommend.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Unless you are very good at putting things like this together don?t ever try.

First the instructions are the worst I?ve seen confusing and not very well thought out. My advice find someone who has put this end shelf together and seek there help it will save you hours of frustration. On the plus side after 5 hours of back braking work I really do like the corner shelf.

Decent unit

I bought this unit for my garage, the first one i received was missing pieces. I sent it back to get a new unit and that took a long time. Once i got the new unit, it had all the pieces. The instructions to put it together could be better, as it leaves alot to the imagination. Once i figured out how to put it together, it went smoothly and the unit is pretty sturdy.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This Craftsman shelving unit is very sturdy once assembled

Assembled unit is very solid and holds a lot of stuff, but assembly is very time consuming.  I asssembled it by myself but it took 5+ hours, primarily due to poor directions.  I assembled 2 Large Gladiator Garage cabinets with doors in less time than it took for this shelf.

I would still recommend this unit to others.  Just make sure you are in a good frame of mind before beginning assembly.  The instruction manual would have made a good script for a "Tim-The-Toolman" Home improvement episode.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
