I think it works great! Use it RIGHT!
First off, mine works great! I was worried about it not turning and "locking up" like some reviewers have said. When I took it out of the box and BEFORE attaching it I tried to turn the tines by HAND and they wouldn't turn. This worried me until I actually attached it to the motor. I believe since the gearing has to step down the speed that the tines turn so much is why it seems like it is locked up if you try to turn it by hand. I have the 29cc 4-cycle and live in Oklahoma where the soil is hard dry clay. It has no problem cutting into the ground IF YOU GIVE IT SOME MUSCLE. Unlike a regular tiller it does not have all the weight over the tines so you do have to use leverage if working on harder soil. That being said, GET IT FOR WHAT IT IS DESIGNED TO DO. This is intended for small gardens and flower beds. the soil should be naturally looser and softer there anyway. I think it works absolutely fantastic at this since it is very maneuverable and about the right size. I like to take off the tines on one side so it can fit in even smaller spaces and between plants. Take care of it and keep it clean and I think it will last quite some time.

      Craftsman Cultivator Attachment
I was very skeptical of this product due to the reviews but my desire to have a small cultivator attachment got the better of me. I bought mine in March of 08 and it didn't work right out of the box, I took it back for an exchange and brought it home and tilled up my small 10' 10' garden box it did ok.. I put it away for the season and brought it this year and got about five minute of work out of it before it froze up like the first one. Unfortunately for me the one year warranty point had just expired and I was out of luck. Oh that is unless I paid another $38.00 for a protection agreement. Or I could just buy the part I need for $55.00 or heck, just buy a new one for $89.00. Don't waist your time it will happen over and over again. I considered mine to be a total loss and took the gearbox apart and low and behold the put he weakest brass gear cog in this gearbox and there is no way it could have with stand the torch of the motor yet alone tilling dirt at the same time. The gear was meant to fail so you would have to pay the above protection or part price. Look people don't get me wrong I really like the weed trimmer and I also have the lawn edger attachment they work awesome I just want the cultivator changed to perform the way it should or taken off the market.

A ton of power in a little package

I've used this to garden and to prepair soil for sod. Whew it will work harder than I want to! Ti does a good job of Cultivating, The sod is doing well and it is due to the tiller's work. Very pleased and tired.

      Can't wait for spring

I know that this is for soil, but, I used it on chunks of ice that had been shoveled off my driveway, it still ate that right up without even chipping the paint.....

      Cultivate Attachment

Excellent product. My wife and I only need to work small areas such as flower beds and this is the perfect size. If you need to do large areas or very difficult soil, this is not what you need but it is perfect for maintaining prepared beds and small gardens.

Operating my Cultivator Attachment W/anew Weedwacker 4 cycle With electric

Took the unit home read the Instructiona and attached the unit to the Weedwacker. Next morning I went to the garden and started the unit forward motion. It was not operating like I though it should. I just rembered that the Instructions stated to pull the Unit. Well I started pulling the unit and it started doing just the way I wanted it to. Thanks Sears Craftsman. Today I Have Beans and Tomatoes. Thanks Carroll Rutledge.
