I used my cultivator two times, for a total of less than two hours, and it quit working. BAD quality. However, Sears made it right w/me, & refunded my money.

I bought this for my husband. Our mini tiller stopped working so rather than buying a new mini tiller I bought my husband this cultivator attachment to go on our craftsman weed wacker/line trimmer. My husband absolutely loves it and he said it does an excellent job. He uses it to rotatill in between the sweet corn rows and to till the small garden that is right up to the house. He even commented that he likes it better than his mini tiller.

Being mechanically inclined I decided to pull the gear housing apart once it failed. (under light load). The gearbox has a steel worm gear and a brass toothed gear. (Not a bright idea unless sears wants to sell a lot of them. Would probably be less expensive to manufacture if the toothed gear were made out of steel. Brass babbit and fine shavings all over the inside.

I originally bought my Craftsman 32cc Line Trimmer because I have the ability to buy other attachments. A short time after that purchase, I picked up the Edger attachment. Both work very well and are easily exchanged. Now I went one step further and bought the Tiller attachment. This did an excellent job tilling up old flower beds. It cut through them like butter. Makes planting new plants and flowers more enjoyable. After reading other reviews, I'm glad i originally purchased the 32cc power head. It provides plenty of power for all of my attachments. I cannot speak to longevity for the tiller, but both the line trimmer and edger have worked well for several years now. I recently purchased the Polesaw attachment but have not has an opportunity to try it yet. I will add a review for that product after it's first use.

I didn't have high expectations for this little tiller, but for what it is, it gets the job done. it's nice and small, so it gets between rows and bushes nicely. You wont be breaking any compacted ground with it, but it's good to have for maintenance in your garden.

Used this with my 27 cc 2 cycle craftsman line trimmer (product # 71/71120) it works pretty good. it takes a pretty good amount of muscle to break through new ground and is kinda heavy but after you break it up it works like a charm. glad i bought it

Great product that is easy to use. Helps keep the dirt around my veggies loose, allows the roots to spread. Alot better than I thought it would be.

We love the power unit and the convenience of having multiple attachments for a single unit. It starts very easy. In fact I have only used the speed starter once to just check it out. We have the line trimmer and edger attachments and they both work GREAT. The cultivator, however, is less than desirable. After approx 6 uses, over the past year, just loosening our raised flower beds, the unit is dead. Stay away from the cultivator unless you are just using it in your child's sandbox or your cats litter box.
