Product Description

The Craftsman 21in. Lawn Mower Delivers Dependable Performance, Durability and Long-Lasting Life

Boasting the Precision Plus™ starting system, the Craftsman CX Series 21inch Rear Wheel Drive Mower delivers high-performance bagging and mulching with a durable blade, giving your lawn a manicured appearance. 21 inch 3-in-1 deck gives you the options of side discharge, mulch to put nutrients back into the lawn, or bag clippings for disposal. A Briggs & Stratton® Platinum Series 175cc* OHV engine (7.75 torque) delivers high-performance durability and long-lasting life. 6-speed selector variable and speed-propelled, the mower can be set to maximum speed to match the desired pace and creates better traction for hilly yards with its rear-wheel drive design.

The Craftsman 21in. Lawn Mower boasts 3-point deck-height adjustment with tool-less caster-wheel adjust for quick, accurate height changes. Plus, its unique deck design extends beyond the wheels for more precise trimming and edging. Flexible cutting heights ranging from 1-1/4 in. to 3-3/4 in. make quick work of any lawn or grass type. EZ Empty rear bagger with Dust Blocker™ (1.9 BU) reduces the amount of dust, while allowing the bag to completely fill with clipping.

  • The Craftsman CS Series 21inch Rear Wheel Drive Mower boasts an ergonomic padded handle for increased mowing effort and reduced user fatigue
  • EZ Deck Wash system is equipped to connect to the garden hose for easy cleaning, preventing grass build-up and for better cutting performance
  • Unit comes fully assembled with no tools required for convenience
  • 7 in. front, lockable caster and 8 in. rear wheels - caster wheels can be locked to keep a straight line while mowing in hilly areas, or allowed to rotate for easy, zero degree turns and maneuvering around obstacles
  • Two-year warranty
  • Available in 50 states
  • *As rated by the engine manufacturer

overall quality of the controls and bag catcher very, very poor.
couldn't get the speed control lever on left side of handle to work without using great force. The seals around the bag allowed more grass to fly out than what was being caught in the bag it seemed Could not use mower without being covered up in grass clippings

Overall
Craftsman Rear Wheel Drive swivel mower

It started easily on the first pull. Variable speed has great power in any speed. The mower cuts through grass neatly and didn't bog down once. I was able to trim closer to my trees and sidewalks than ever before. The height adjustment **** on the rear wheel sticks out farther than the wheel though and had caught it up on a fire hydrant that lowered the deck scalping the ground. This flaw and opening the box with the height adjustment at the lowest setting when I believe that the factory setting should be around 3 inches dropped my ratings one star.

Overall
Not worth the money

Wow I tried to leave a full, informative review but like most Craftsman tools this site comes up short as well and limits your input. So here it is in a nut shell. Guys your spending almost $500 with this mower once you pay tax etc, spend the money on a Honda or a reputable mower. Bagger is horrible, speed control does not work and the engine ran as rough as could be. I used the mower less than an hour and returned it, I am now looking at other brands.

Swivel wheel mower

Hard to get used to at the beginning. Had to immediately adjust the height of the mower. In thick grass the rear wheel drive does not push through and if you adjust to a higher speed, when it breaks free, you are running after the mower.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Misquoted Price and No Manual

Had my eye on this mower for some time I had a craftsman push mower with blade clutch that I was mowing my grandas lawn with over 18 years ago (and still runs by the way jsut takes a few pulls to get it started and is seriously heavy), and wanted to replace it with another craftsaman. Have a decent sized yard and use riding mower for the majority of it but wanted the swivel front wheels to get around the many obsitcals in my yard. So I noticed a sweet sale price on this in the store and put it on layway right away, then I pick up the mower and get it home and low and behold the great deal that I thought i was getting was for different model... I take it back and of course the manager acts like it is not his problem "someone is playing with the tags" (even though I showed him a clear pictures of the mower that the salesman pulled the tag from and rang me up....). Long story short payed the diffference for the this model and, started with like half a pull! No owners manual in the box.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Love this mower!

I just purchased this mower a week ago and have used it once and love it! There is a learning curve after using a conventional mower for 10 yrs, my old craftsman lasted that long and I gave it to a friend, very durable mowers. It is still going strong! I am hoping this one will last me just as long or longer!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
