Well designed machine does the job
I purchased the snowblower for my cabin in the mountains. Couldn't wait for the first snow fall. Sears delivered the blower and it was ready to go, just add gas. (I hate to assemble things). While i was only blowing 6 inches of wet heavy snow the machine was up to the task throwing it 30 feet or more. This is a large machine and it does a great job.

Expensive shear pins.
Pros: Fast, excellent and dependable delivery. It was un-crated, oiled and assembled. Just add fuel. Started on the first pull. Cons: It does NOT have clearance for a gravel driveway at all. It digs right in and scoops the gravel right up like a steam shovel. I'm ordering custom made metal skids to get enough lift to hopefully use it. The short/shallow rubber skids provide virtually no lift at all, but are probably fine on smooth paved surface. You'll have to call Sears to track down the proper shear pins too, since the website is confusing on what-fits-what (I now have three packs of the wrong shear pins). Even the guy on the phone seemed to have problems finding the model number. The actual pins for this model cost five bucks EACH, even though they're only about a 1/4 inch longer than the ones that cost a buck fifty. There's no way a designed-to-fail shear pin should cost more than a dollar to produce. Booo! to Sears' five dollar pins.

Quality control could be better

I have a 400' paved driveway in northeast PA and last year the plowed snow froze and there was nowhere else to plow it so shoveling was the only option. Bought this blower to make the snow removal quicker and easier. Unlike the other reviews, my blower came in a crate with assembly required. Not a huge deal but took some time. Upon starting and engaging the auger, smoke started pouring out from the belt cover and the auger wasn't turning. I removed the cover and restarted the blower, re-engaing the auger. The idiots who put this thing together had one "locknut" on the end of the auger idler rod which was loose and turning down the threaded rod disallowing the idler pulley from contacting the belt firmly enough to drive the auger so the belt just smoked. I reinstalled the nut along with a second lock nut behind it and it worked fine. I'll see how this holds up after blowing snow this winter. This machine is heavy and some of the service/maintenance requirements look like a real chore (tilting the blower up on the auger housing to access the underneath frame cover, etc.).

I would recommend this product to a friend.
