Purchased this insert and had to overhaul it so it could be used. One of the adjusting screws was so tight I rounded off a allen wrench while getting it to move,the plate had a upward bow from front to rear (1/8th inch) , and the front retainer screw taper was smaller than the screw head. Craftsman quality is slipping away. Even with the overhaul it was a good purchase.

Insert did not fit the saw properly. Had to grind one side smaller so it would fit down in the space properly for the screw to go in all the way. This is very disappointing since I bought it for a 10" Craftsman table saw.

I bought this to put on my older Craftsman table saw so I could start cutting dadoe's (no, not Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep) and rabbets. I removed the old plate, slid this one into place and started to tighten the screw when I noticed that the screw hole was beveled too far to the center. I returned that one hoping I just got one 'made on a Friday' but the next one was the same. I was able to overcome this issue by expanding the bevel on my drill press but the issue is quality control. If this was built with a certain group of saws in mind then it cannot be labeld as a universal fit. One thing to note is that it can be used without the screw installed, just don't lose the screw so when it's time to replace the insert you have it available.
