tractor canopy
Got mine today. Assemby is easy. The Monster is really overbuilt to say the least! It also covers a huge area. Originally I was concerned about it flopping around but to my surprise it is pretty stabil even where I am using it with potholes and ruts. The only thing.. if you are used to running your tractor around close to the trees, keep an eye out for low limbs.

Might be OK IF.....
....your yard is as smooth as a billiard table. Basically, this thing needs some support for the front of the framework. If your yard is at all bumpy , it flops, bounces and twists around continuously. Because it's supported by the metal bodywork behind the seat, it's only a matter of time before the tractor body starts to crack from all the flexing. Other reviewers have also noted issues with overhanging branches, but I don't view this as a problem with the canopy. Just be aware that you will have trim up any trees you want to get close to. Not sure yet if I want to engineer my own front supports , or just return the thing. It's a good idea, but poorly executed.

very nice accessory

We bought this accessory for our tractor since we have no shade in our 2 acre yard. It is easy to install, and looks attractive not corky. Even my teenagers like to drive the tractor with it on. Nice feature indeed.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

SUN SHADE

I have been looking for one of these for years and finally found one at the Sears Outlet for a great price. It was easy to put together except for when I got to the next to last step which was placing the cross bows in the overhead section. I soon discovered why it was on sale at a very low price. The holes for the crows bows was missing on one side. Therefore, I had to drill 3 holes on the left side for the bows to fit in. No big deal but somebody in China forgot to drill the holes for the other side. I thought it funny that QA missed this major defect.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cooling sets in

The Sun shade works well to keep the sun off of you while mowing. Only problem is that the sun shade tends to move more than I would like. Needs a beeter way to attach to the rea of the mower. Overall does work to keep you cool

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Bad frame design.

Frame is too heavy. It will droop in front and sometimes come down in your face. When it is up right it balances all over the place. Now it does shade you when it is working properly. It needs to be redesigned. Front not as wide and no square corners to catch on things. Lighter material on frame. Four point connection instead of the two. Last the cover needs to drop over the sides 8 to 10 inches. The cost might double but it would be better than mine in the trash.

This shade will keep the sun off of you ..

Great idea, a little fabrication and it works well, it mounts under the seat with 6 bolts but I also mounted it to the back fender behind the seat with 2 more made it wobble a lot less 8 blots are better than 6 and then in the front I used some string to pull the top down a tad ran the string thru the factory holes in the dash and this shade is the bomb take your time and work with it, you have to put some American on it because it was probably built in China...Jes saying

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wear a hat

On my first day, I was excited to have a new shade for my tractor. While driving around in the extreme Florida summer sun, I was happy to be in the shade all of the time not just when mowing under the trees. Well on one occassion I was backing up and the next thing I see is the white canopy being shreaded under my mower. The nuts on the supports vibrated loose and the shade fell backwards, I didn't notice as I was in a shaded area, and it came off the frame, as I backed up I ran it over. I wasn't looking over my left shoulder or i might have seen it, now my wife says "You could have bought a lot of hats for the ost of that shade!" so now I am out the money and the embrassement. Just wear a hat and save your self the aggrevation the frame isn't made well, I tightened the bolts to the point of nut bending the cheap tubing they went through.

Deluxe Sun Shade to flimsey for this mower

Definately not worth over $100 for a soft top and metal tubes. Flops around as to the base mounts to the thin sheet metal on the rear of the mower. I returned it to Sears and got a refund.
