I love this shovel. I'm a short gal, approx 5'3" (with shoes), and this handle is a perfect fit. I recently purchased a house and have used this shovel to dig a ditch, fill holes and pry numerous large rocks (80lbs or more) from the ground. After all of this work, the shovel still looks new. I imagine I will be using this shovel for years to come. I will definitely be purchasing more garden tools from this product line as the need arises.

This is a good quality shovel and with the handle its much easy to manuever than just the straight handle type. Its got a nice point and is sharp enough to break sod. I wish I would have bought 2 of them.

First use was planting potatoes. After about ten holes the handle started to pull out of the metal head. I pushed it back on but it kept pulling out. Returned to Sears, out of stock and they had to order a replacement. I like the handle and shape but have real doubts about strength between fiberglass handle and blade. Hoping Sears just forgot to epoxy the handle in or something.

I bought this on a black Friday sale and after the first use I was disappointed I waited for the sale to purchase. I could have used this months ago! Super sturdy, the quality is outstanding. ONLY con is the stickers they put on the head of the shovel doesn't peal off easily, I had to spend 30 minutes trying to scrape it off. Very petty I know.

This is a very nice shovel for the money. The fiberglass handle is great. The spade doesn't seem to clean up very easy, but it still works great. I have used mine extensively and it is holding up well.

I bought this shovel for myself while out Christmas shopping for my family. It was on sale AND it has the legendary Craftsman quality and Lifetime Warranty. I'll never have to buy
another shovel for the rest of my life!

I have only used the shovel a few times so far. I bought it less than two months ago. The shovel has exceeded my expectations in that it is heavy duty built, well balanced and coupled with a life-time warranty, what else could you ask for.

I bought this shovel to replace one from another manufacturer that was destroyed by a fire. The handle on this shovel is great. The previous shovel was similarly designed with more rounded handle but the place at which I purchased the other shovel no longer sells them. After looking at several stores, Sears was the only store that carried anything close. This Craftsman shovel was less expensive and handles better than the previous one that I owned.

Its not that its a bad tool, but the handle-to-shaft connection needs a redesign. On two different occasions, the plastic ring at the base of the handle has broken at the rivet points and come off the shaft. Now since its a craftsman, I have been able to get free replacements. Still, its a pain. The fiberglass handle though is light and durable. The shovel head is strong. Overall, I will keep gettinga new one everytime it breaks, but it would be nice to get one that has a better handle design!

Yes this craftsman DHRP shovel w/ fiberglass handle looks pretty cool. And very nice looking. Its got a handle that is really easy to grab a hold of. And the shovel has a good pointer to mark your spot when your digging dirt and so forth. Easy to grab when in a hurry. Or easy to carry when putting away. I would recomend this shovel to anyone. Specially if you don't like shovels that slips out of your hands while digging or grabbing.
