this die grinder is made very well and is a good backup for my electric die grinder.

Got this as part of my starter tool set for my diesel mechanic career. Wish I would have got the 90 degree angle grinder, this one is hard to get into some spaces on a truck, but still works great.

Replaced a C/P with this little jewel, I cut, grind, you name it I do it, right out of the box the stickers fell off, but who cares I chucked up a deburring tool and oiled her up and went to town, I used this tool about 3 to 4 times a week, oil it every use and i show it no mercy, But when I am done I clean it and oil it and put it to bed clean and ready for it's next job.

I am a professional cylinder head porter and I frequently use the die grinder in my work. I use the grinder about 6 hours a day, sometimes almost continuously. I have had the same grinder now for about 2 months, which is alot of time on that poor grinder and I have yet to burn it down. Grinders typically only last me around 2-3 months (that are of good quality) but typically run around 120-160 dollars, whereas the craftsman die grinder was only 70 with warranty. It has already paid for itself and now im just wondering when it will stop, albeit it shows no signs of it. The bearings are still smooth and as long as you keep it oiled, it will last quite awhile. I would also like to add that this grinder is powerful enough to "catch itself" and spin it through your hands, so thats a good and a bad depending on how you look at it. She won't bog down though!

Had same issue with craftman name labels falling off right out of the box. Not much of an issue as they have no purpose. Oiled it before use as all air tools should be. Have in line oiler and after a little break in time seemed to work ok

Opened the box and took the grinder out. First thing I noticed, the Craftsman stickers were already coming off. Not a big deal. Hooked it up and the thing leaked air out the back side. i checked the fitting and re appplied the thread tape but it was still leaking. After closer inspection the leaking air was coming from the tool itself. It will be returned and a Jet grinder will replace it. Craftsman has really gone down the tubes, except for their hand tools. Another case of you get what you pay for

Well I opened it up, added a carbide bur, and it works like a champ!

I purchased two of these - one for me and one for a buddy. Used mine maybe 15-30 minutes and it started vibrating and lost power - actually stalled out once. Returned for another with extended warranty this time. Oiled up before use and it slowly gained RPM's - seemed to be clearing out. Anyway, running this one with an inline oiler - never had to do that with air tools before. Normally, just oil up prior to use is fine for home use. Time will tell if this tool is worth the price. Features it's decent - 20k RPM and 1/2 hp rated. It requires ~6.5cfm of air flow so my 3.2 hp compressor stays pretty busy. I have a shop full of Craftsman tools (and several other brands). Steve
