Powerful little die grinder
Replaced a C/P with this little jewel, I cut, grind, you name it I do it, right out of the box the stickers fell off, but who cares I chucked up a deburring tool and oiled her up and went to town, I used this tool about 3 to 4 times a week, oil it every use and i show it no mercy, But when I am done I clean it and oil it and put it to bed clean and ready for it's next job.

Poor Quality

Opened the box and took the grinder out.  First thing I noticed, the Craftsman stickers were already coming off.  Not a big deal.  Hooked it up and the thing leaked air out the back side.  i checked the fitting and re appplied the thread tape but it was still leaking.  After closer inspection the leaking air was coming from the tool itself.  It will be returned and a Jet grinder will replace it.  Craftsman has really gone down the tubes, except for their hand tools.

Another case of you get what you pay for

Decent

My ingersol rand die grinder finally quit after years of abuse. Instead of ordering a new one I figured I'd pop in and grab one at sears. I've had and have a number of air tools all IR, Cornwell snap on and some cheap offshore ones. I would put this in the middle of the pack, I use a 60 gal compressor. There were a couple times I've had to "kick start" it.

Good Grinder

Nice grinder, fits easily in my hand and doesn't fatigue your wrist or hand. Good for home garage use, but I think a little bigger is what I need.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

blew apart

The air chamber is held together by plastic treads. It simply blew off the threads. The blade broke, shattered the shield, and rolled a crossed my hand. It's amazing I wasn't hurt.

Decent air grinder

Sometimes air tools are better for a job. This grinder is nice for those projects when you just need that throttling ability from an air tool. Works well for me so far!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good grinder

Got this as part of my starter tool set for my diesel mechanic career. Wish I would have got the 90 degree angle grinder, this one is hard to get into some spaces on a truck, but still works great.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
The Craftsman grinder is great and works in industrial settings

I am a professional cylinder head porter and I frequently use the die grinder in my work. I use the grinder about 6 hours a day, sometimes almost continuously. I have had the same grinder now for about 2 months, which is alot of time on that poor grinder and I have yet to burn it down. Grinders typically only last me around 2-3 months (that are of good quality) but typically run around 120-160 dollars, whereas the craftsman die grinder was only 70 with warranty. It has already paid for itself and now im just wondering when it will stop, albeit it shows no signs of it. The bearings are still smooth and as long as you keep it oiled, it will last quite awhile. I would also like to add that this grinder is powerful enough to "catch itself" and spin it through your hands, so thats a good and a bad depending on how you look at it. She won't bog down though!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Would buy

Had same issue with craftman name labels falling off right out of the box. Not much of an issue as they have no purpose. Oiled it before use as all air tools should be. Have in line oiler and after a little break in time seemed to work ok
