Overall, others give this:

Purchased this because it says it reads capacitance online. Just received it in the mail. The box says it does NOT! Taking it back now!

I purchased this meter with the thought that it's a Craftsman so I can't go wrong , and my main reason that I bought it today was to check continuity on my auto wiring , well I put batteries in it , turned it to the ohm buzzer setting and touched the leads together only to get an awful sound non constant sounding and the ohmage went from 138ish and went down slowly to about 1 ohm where in straight ohms it went right to 0.3 ish like I would expect! So I went back to Sears and because they were out of this model I got a different model (#34 82139)only to find the same issue so I'm not sure if the other functions have problems , but I know my Fluke at work just has a great buzzer of course it cost about $175 more than the Sears Craftsman !!!

Its not a fluke but for $45, it works fine.........I bought this as an upgrade to thier cheap $20 model and glad I did.......Probes have a nice fine point for getting into terminals. Large display is eazy to read. Yep, i recommend this for the price!

This is the first of two Craftsman multimeters I've purchased, tested, and returned in three days. Both meters had the same problems: 1. The 200 ohm resistance scale is poorly calibrated. Resistance fluctuates between 0.3 and 1.6 ohms when shorting probe tips together. 2. When shorting probe tips together during continuity test the meter's piezo buzzer was under powered and scratchy.

I bought this meter a couple weeks ago and I have used most features. The temperature sensor that comes with the meter has been awesome to use. The auto range feature is one that I wanted, so you do not need to switch the meter, especially if you forget to do so. The digital display is large enough to read, without squinting. The wire terminals are nice and snug, so they don't pull out and are long enough for testing, while reading the meter. This meter will last for a long time and will do what you need. I repair A/C systems, and this meter is kept on top of my toolbox.
