Finish Your Lawn with Craftsman’s edger Attachment
Built to easily connect with most attachment-capable gas trimmers, it secures fast, and gets you moving. Using the power of your gas line trimmer, the blade easily cuts through overgrown grass along sidewalks, driveways and brick walls, keeping your yard the sharpest on the block.

Be honest with your self, how many times have you used a real full on edger on your lawn? I borrowed one once a year and that was it. I use this quick attachment once a month last year. I started using it commercially this year. It saves room on my trailer. I don't have a big dedicated edger that I hardly use. Not very many people want edging service. I offer it at such a low price and when they see how fantastic it just finishes off the lawn to a whole new level. I finally replaced the blade just now. I didn't realize how short it had become until I replaced it! It was exactly 3 1/4" long. The new one is 7 1/4"!!!! Holy cow what a difference. Don't forget the nut is reverse threaded.

I love Sears hardware but I sometimes get frustrated. In this case, the blade removal required inserting a screwdriver into a hole to lock the rotating head. Then, a wrench is applied to loosen a nut. I got confused as to which way to turn the wrench. A better figure will help me greatly. Due to the confusion, I cracked the housing which was made of a cast metal. This is where I felt that the legendary Craftsman quality is lacking. I would have preferred a machined housing, obviously. Now, having cracked the housing, I dare not use the attachment and I need to buy a new one. I'm not sure if this is covered by warranty but I'll be bringing it into the store to see if I can get something. Frustrating when something simple becomes difficult.

Let's just say, my yard has been taking over the sidewalk and some of my driveway. I tried going forward as directed, but weed eater was bogging down and stopping the blade altogether. I found it easier to walk backwards with it to get my straight line. After cutting it off the sidewalks and driveway, it was easier to walk forwards with it. It does collect mud and will need to be scooped out if your yard has moist soil.

Bought the attachment to bury in ground fence system for my dogs, otherwise I have no use for an edger attachment. Works as expected in our soft rock free soil. Does have some vibration when running at lower speeds. When I hit the first patch of rocks it bogged down the trimmer and jumped up out to the ground when hitting the rocks. Other than the issue with the rocks I was quickly able to get the hang of operating the edger and getting a straight line.

I've only used it once thus far. I find it difficult to get used to with the trimmer. I actually find it easier to edge with the trimmer than with this attachment. I'm sure that the more I use it, the better and more efficient I will become at edging with it. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen over night.

I've had the edger 5 years and found it to work just fine. Had to replace the blade. Has a LEFT hand screw so it won't fly off while rotating. Love Sears products, always have.

Took a little bit to get used to using a gas edger vs. the electric one I had, but once I did this one seems to perform well. The 4 cycle 29cc Straight Shaft convertible I use with it provides more than ample power for the edger.
