Product Description
3.6-Volt Cordless Screwdriver Makes Repairs Easy
For times that you just don't feel like working that hard - or when a regular screwdriver can't quite squeeze in to a hard-to-reach place - there's the Craftsman Evolv 3.6-volt ni-cd cordless screwdriver. Operating at 200 rpm, it generates the torque to handle most household tasks. The Evolv makes quick work of anything that involves tightening or removing hardware. Its LED light lets you see what's going on in dimly lit corners, and its angle makes those spots a little easier to reach. The screwdriver switches easily between forward and reverse.
This 3.6-volt cordless screwdriver is a great gift for a time-pressed handyman or for a young adult out on his or her own for the first time who needs a few basics but not necessarily a complete tool box. Keep one on hand for yourself as well.
- The Craftsman Evolv 3.6-volt ni-cd cordless screwdriver set comes with the screwdriver, bits, charger and manual
- The integrated nickel cadmium battery charges in three to five hours
- Add a Craftsman Power Driving Set, which includes an array of extra bits, to ensure that you have the tools to do most any job
- The Evolv uses quarter-inch hex bits
- Available for Gift Wrap

The Evolv 17088 3.6-volt Ni-Cd Cordless Screwdriver makes a great gift. It makes using a screwdriver easy and possible for many of those that would otherwise need to find a handyman. There is even a soft handle that makes holding it comfortable.
The screwdriver has a LED that shines on the work area. A rechargeable battery (3 to 5 hours for a full charge) makes this cordless screwdriver very easy to use to both install and remove screws.
Never again will I use a manual screwdriver when such an easy option is available.

will only work when it is left on the charger, and then it only works to take a couple of screws out. I hate it!

At the onset this cordless screwdriver looked very good and useful, due to its size. I charged it once and it held its own on most all house hold needs and then some. However, it didn't take long. When charging it for the second time, the handle became hot. So hot, in fact it could burn your skin if you were not wearing gloves. Thinking this was an isolated incident I ran the charge out of it and charged it for a third time. The same thing happened. However, this time the handle was even hotter. I tried to grip with my bare hand and could not hold it, because the handle was so hot. Needless to say I have discontinued my use of this product and would not recommend it. In fact, this issue should be brought to the manufactures attention, so they can check the batteries to ascertain if they received a bad shipment of Ni-Cad batteries or if this is an isolated incident.

Nice little screwdriver, nicely balanced. Don't know about the battery life yet, but seems powerful enough for what it is designed for. Would be nice if they included a couple of screwdriver bits, but not a problem since I already have some.

Thi is a good little driver. It fits into tight spaces. So it fits where the larger drivers willnot. It turns slow so don't expect to turn a ton of screws with it, but it does it's job well. It's weight and size make it perfect to be carried in anyone's tool box.

It does hold a charge as long as my Black and Decker 3.6.It is also not as powerful as the little Black and decker, but he price was right. It is good for very lite duty work. .

I bought this to replace a Black and Decker that I dropped and cracked the case open. It was about identical with the Craftsman but figured I would be getting a better one with the Craftsman. WRONG! This thing is about useless. I can't even drive or remove a 1" drywall screw from a pine board. The B&D did it with ease. I don't know if I got a lemon, or if they are all like this. I see they are made in China, so that could be the problem right there. I have a lot of Craftsman tools; both hand and power. They are great. I was surprised to see Craftsman put their name on this thing. Save your money and get a different brand.
